Loved your review on the show. I was told the book's ending is slightly diff, in that it's more in line with ep15's but she's still disabled & does her sentence at home. The author's ending also had elements of ep16's in that she's then morbidly killed 3yrs later during an earthquake when trapped at home. I love the drama ending . It's balanced so both outcomes are possibilities, it's down to us to guess here.

The barrage was full of 🧄🧄🧄refs (something he likes eating), so he stopped 3yrs ago. I don't think he should be pressured to do them. Some are into weird fetishes of needing to see him eat on cam😶.

Ep 16 is the realistic outcome. I feel the finale will have audience's going for either/or. Personally, I would never trade my freedom for someone I hated. I would get them back, & make them pay🙃. However, if I had a child & they were harmed, I could lose it. I hope the most I would do is GBH but to keep them alive to suffer in jail.
It's great we get to see more of Li De & the other cop, & there's closure for everyone, inc Tracey✨🤸🏻♀️. This drama has not been draggy, the last 4 eps went by so fast & I kinda miss it now. The ending could be viewed as: open or alternate, both get you thinking. I'm going with the alternate end...
Love the pacing, love the casts. For ppl coming later, this drama binge-watched would be perfect, as each eps leads straight to another. I written alot, but I'm gonna leave out the reversals so you can see them yourselves😅.

Love Tracey. In a funny way I can relate as I like true crime too🤩. The impression I got was that ZJ is still on good terms with sister Juan now. She advised him how to win over BXL's family (I did not expect that for a 'typical' sugar mamma, which is good). & she was seen advising him in the present, that if she were BXL, her next step would be to 'finish' him. It was inferred from the ML & the lawyer that she was holding back when they tried to probe her on ZJ. Loads of questions about them two.
As for LW seeing the police guy. Really hard to say with this drama if we're seeing actual events, or from 1 person's recall. But agree with @Soocrafty. Now LW's alive, was the fire at the studio meant for insurance monies, or someone else.
About Lin Fang. From what I remember, the bro said he wasn't there to know what actually went down. I don't think ZJ said it was more than an accident to him, but LF wanted 'blood' money as he lost his only sister. Poss ZJ felt he was a nuisance only to his reputation, plus can snitch he was married. But not something that could get him in jail?? or he could just be a coward when dealing with men🙃.

Funny you mentioned the police officer. A friend said she thinks he doesn't exist, he's dead. Wow, it is poss as we never see him at work & the ML maybe mixing another case into his narrative. Also the mentor lady 'sister Juan' is interesting as it looks like ZJ listens to her advice still🤔. Yeah, ZJ deserves a beating, but it'll be interesting what happens next after💥🔪. Maybe we'll see him die in many diff ways😅, told thru diff ppl.
Ep 10 really messes with your head. With LW alive I'm beginning to feel like b4, that ML & the lawyer guy are suss. They're both emotionally invested, particularly the lawyer guy. The looks BXL gave Liu Wei felt like she was really 'hurt' by her?? I feel ZJ & his 1st wife might not be as shown. & that BXL may be setting up the 2 men, so when she🔪ZJ, she can be acquitted.
Also in the preview for ep 13, there was another woman we haven't seen yet, but ZJ looked upset over her. So in addition to the flings, domestic abuse & the taking of her dad's monies, there might be more. Allegedly we see ZJ dying, so poss the reason BXL chose to take revenge outside the law might involve this person, in addition to the other issues.
