His mother was the worst mother. Theyre all horrible mothers but we know her mother is clearly evil. His mother comes off as doing the right thing but she ttreats him like a son-husband, is judgmental, fasely accusing, gossipy, self centered, entitled and cruel all hidden and not easily detected by innocent women who want to date him. It didnt matter if Park Do Ra was from a horrible family or a good family from a small fishing villiage. His mother cruelly fasely accused that girl continually. He never had a chance for a healthy dating life.
The romance subplot(s) was nicely fit into the drama. i liked all of the couples. Ko Seung Tak 🩷 Oh Soo Jung Cha Young Min 🩷 Jang Se Jin Choi Hoon Kil 🩷 Im Bo Mi

Read my original post, again. "by the 8th episode, i admired her." *Sigh* Everyone has their own set of standards from which they judge others. I always like to be fair in judgement.
This is a Singaporean Mediacorp drama, listed as Chinese. The historical content is about Chinese medicinal foods and practices during the Ming Dynasty. I liked the story but didnt like that the couple are not together until the 29th episode; practically the end. It needed more romance. I didnt like the writers tormenting the ML all throughout this drama. I was thinking, oh heck, with a little fantasy realism, breaking the 4th wall, (Oppa, Saranghae! style) I want to jump into the screen and save him myself. 😅 I wish there were more romanctic moments between this couple. 😍💕 "If the couple got through all of the obstacles together why wouldn't the couple be together? What a useless story." Lord Bi I agree. I dont like unhappy endings. I was cheering for this couple for 30 hours. 😍💕
I'm pleasantly surprised by this drama. I never heard about this drama and yesterday randomly stumbled on a short…
The FL came across at first to me as entitled and a annoying know it all but by the 8th episode i admired her. The story unfolds very slow with shocking revelations.
Totally not team Hong and Queen No Guk, here. When Hong begs the king to kill him I am seriously laughing wanting Hong to just kill himself since he betrayed the king. Are people forgetting he is the king? Not some guy with power. Hong chose totally not a respectable nor honorable way to tell someone that he never loved them. The castration is nothing if the queen really loves him. Do she love him or his peen? I personally think it is just lust, with lack of self control, lack of loyalty and lack of honor between these two. The king deserves his dignity too. I too agree with other historians that a maligning of the king's character was done here to justify the Joseon Dynasty...but oh well. The Joseon Dynasty was cool and has given us lots of great dramas. 🫰😎✌️
a horror movie. i watched it knowing the ending, but what i didn't expect was to think the castration wasn't…
I liked this observation because i think what is most important is self control. If there is no self control, there is no love. It was just lust, which is how someone can loose all sense of boundaries, proper conduct and loyalty. To me Hong forfeited any claim of love when he showed lack of self control by entering the Queens chambers uninvited while the maid was there. He put the Queen and his reputation at risk not caring if the maid gossip which they do. How can anyone then trust a person who has put them at risk for gossip among the servants? Also under a King, not like a president or prime minister, everyone is subjects, (should be loyal subjects) no matter what the king is or isnt. Yes, the king owns them. I dont think he abused his power.
The best way to look at this drama is dont try to relate to the characters. Just view it as a spectacle or exhibtion. People have different lives. The comments are so funny under this drama, that i had to see what was going on. Its a quick 5 hour watch. It was a interesting character observation for me. I liked it. Love don't judge, here. I just wish the writers had written the wife more of a concerned friend not so desperate to stay married with a man who don't see women as intimate partners. She was a good friend to him and defended and protected him admirably. That is all.
I shipped Park Tae Seo and Bi Ryung as the 3rd couple in this drama! 😭 Some where, someone, is wrting a fan fiction making that happen. The ML and FL had a old married couple vibe, like they had known each other forever. Their relationship was cute because even though neither wanted to be married their relationship looked like it would last longer than a lot of marriages. I think it was written very well and protrayed well by Ok Taec Yeon and Kim Hye Yoon This was one of those dramas with a cool large friend group. I loved watching these characters. 😍💕
Lowkey wish this pulled a Lovely Runner and Lu Xun ended up remembering her dream. Im just sad that the close…
I believe he was the one telling her the story while she was in a comma and he added the part of them dating as how he wanted it to be but she never saw him that way which he was crying about before she woke up.
Nah I came here to see the summary because I saw somebody recommending it on another drama's page... But my God,…
I personally do not support women who minimize and make light of harm on other women. People can defintely learn more about this actor without supporting Rotten Mango or Stephanie Soo's behavior towards other women. He is a commendable entertainer. He doesnt need that Stephanie soos help for people to know it and she just mocked him in the video for wanting his personal life to be private. She's shamelessly have no boundaries nor respect for peoples lives.
A very cute romance. 😍💕 The couple is always dancing in a room of smoke. How lovely and dreamy. 😅 The two gossiping women in the restroom are funny and helpful.
At last. What everyone has always wanted to know about time travel is revealed in this one movie after so many time traveling movies and dramas. Time travlers can't just play the lottery to get rich! 🤣
