That's a great point. I know a lot more about asadoras than when I originally posted this comment. I enjoyed a lot of these asadoras just for the novelty for how different they were. Tsubasa, I think definitely suffered from being underbaked, but Tabe Mikako was a great heroine.

Agree! I enjoy so many of the 'experimental' asadoras even if they're not perfect. Ono Machiko was also such a perfect find for this asadora in particular. The currently airing asadora, "Kaze Kaoru," held auditions but only because it was a double heroine asadora and they made sure one actress was already a well established actress.
