Another thorough and fun review!I completely agree about Eliza. We're supposed to believe she steamered all the…
Thanks! Your review was great too :)

It felt like they brought on Eliza just for drama, which the asadora didn’t need lol. I was so disappointed that this was the role they gave Fox.

Another great and concisely written review! Completely agree about Takaishi Akari. Her facial expressions were so fun to read. I especially loved her smiling face.

I see that you felt the same way about how the story treated Martha (Mattie). In the biography I read, it did mention one razor wielding incident, but it was at a woman she was arguing with and it doesn't seem to be because of Lafcadio. I assume that's where the writers got the idea, though I still wish they had written in differently. I did really like the actress playing Martha and I was surprised that they went there at all as well.

Title Anpan
Give Kawai Yuumi and Hara Nanoka their asadora mc roles too. They are very capable to carry such role.
In case you hadn't heard yet, I wanted to share that Kawai Yuumi will star in the 2028 asadora Honno Mokichi. She was great in Anpan so I'm looking forward to that. I also agree about Hara Nanoka. Absolutely loved her as Meiko.

Update: the subber has read my previous ranting post (see bellow) and is now apparently willing to let us watch…
I think you were just mistaken about their release schedule. They were mostly always 1-2 weeks ahead on ko-fi, and released 1 week to everywhere else. You probably just noticed because they've finished the asadora on ko-fi but are still only releasing once a week everywhere else.

P.S. Don't take this as "ranting" works. One day, you might seriously offend a subber and they might stop subbing completely, which is not the goal.

The intro is, holy smokes, so mesmerizing...
Instrumental intros aren't usually my fave, but this one is so good. It has such a calming effect.

Title Tsubasa
The 2000s in general is full of asadoras like this. Experimental or untested ideas, starred by lesser known actresses…
That's a great point. I know a lot more about asadoras than when I originally posted this comment. I enjoyed a lot of these asadoras just for the novelty for how different they were. Tsubasa, I think definitely suffered from being underbaked, but Tabe Mikako was a great heroine.

Review Carnation
Although the 2000s and to lesser extent early 2010s are full of 'failed' and 'experimental' asadoras, I still…
Agree! I enjoy so many of the 'experimental' asadoras even if they're not perfect. Ono Machiko was also such a perfect find for this asadora in particular. The currently airing asadora, "Kaze Kaoru," held auditions but only because it was a double heroine asadora and they made sure one actress was already a well established actress.

Title Mawaru Swan
I think it is going to be at least set in Late Showa / Heisei, but it won't be surprising if it is set somewhere…
That’s what I was thinking. Hopefully it’s good because modern asadoras are either a hit or miss for me.
