Is it really only 45min and 16 ep its quite short compared to the other versions of f4 the shortest after the…
Japanese version is also about 45 min long (not counting the season 1 finale, or season 2 premiere and finale). I think the Thai version will be fine at 16 eps. Like the Japanese drama, they just need to cut out a lot of the unnecessary arcs from the manga.
Aww ready your guesses makes me even more curious about the drama.. I wish the airing date is very near😞
Same. I'm soo curious about the other actors that haven't been revealed yet like Gorya's parents. I'm hoping it airs in late November, but they haven't announced it yet.
Since Fourth revealed in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVn6ifb9EYE&t) that he will be playing Tu's brother (which I had guessed right), I thought it'd be fun predicting the roles of the rest of the unrevealed cast:
*Kapook - on ig stories, she has posted photos/videos of her wearing a school uniform and high heels. I'm guessing from this that she will be playing one of the mean girls, likely the leader. *June - from the trailer, her whole vibe screams Sakurako to me. This is the girl who befriends the FL and then betrays her. June also posted that the role was an emotional one, which also indicates Sakurako to me. *Milk - most of the online discussion I've seen has her predicted to be Thyme's fiancée. I'm not 100% sure of this yet, but I think her vibe fits the character. *Neen - another community prediction has her as Kavin's first love. I think this one is likely since they have interacted on social media a number of times. And Neen also promised to post pics of Win once the show airs. *Gunsmile - his role is probably the hardest to predict. I don't think he suits the FL's male friend, who I think will likely be cut from this version. My best guess is that he will be playing one of the rivals, possibly Junpei, the model who uses the FL to get revenge on ML.
This is fo Japan might be for later for Thailand and other countries. Just like 2gether the movie aired in June…
My translation may be off but when TV Asahi first announced they were airing F4, it said simultaneous viewing. And 2gether the Movie was a movie which requires you to leave the house unlike a drama. So I think it's a good chance that F4 will air in Nov in both Thailand and Japan.
I really liked this drama, but I'm happy I finished it before I learned about the scandal. I'm personally on neither side, but I still would've effected how I felt during the last two episodes.
In this day and age, especially in Thailand, the biggest competition this series has is BL. BL is more popular…
I think GMMTV chose F4 for international popularity. Meteor Garden (Taiwan ver.) created a phenomenon throughout Asia. HYD (Japanese ver.) is arguably the most popular adaptations among online fans, though not as popular internationally. BOF (Korean ver.) is famous across the world and is still being discovered in new countries. MG2018 (Chinese ver.) has reached the largest audience, being released in over 100 countries thanks to Netflix.
Yes, GMMTV wants F4 to be popular in its home country, but creating this series is very strategic for them as a company. They are clearly going for maximum international popularity. BrightWin is also apart of that since 2gether was one of their most popular series overseas last year. So F4 will have a wide audience, older fans who watched MG/HYD/BOF in their youth, younger/casual fans who maybe just watched MG2018, die hard fans who watch any version (this is me), GMMTV fans, people who watch just because its new, and BrightWin fans, of course.
While I've enjoyed a lot of dramas with similar problematic elements, I do think it's important for people to understand that none of this behavior is acceptable in real life. It might look cute in a drama, but I would never want to be pinned against a wall, etc. in real life.
Does anyone know why the release date keeps getting pushed back? First it was august, it got pushed to September,…
Yep, because of covid. But I think fans have taken the ‘release dates’ too seriously and got disappointed in August, then September, and now October. And technically nothing has been ‘pushed back’ since GMMTV never announced the release date.
I cried so much T_T I had to keep putting this drama on hold because I didn't want to cry anymore lol. I just finished it and every episode was so touching.
Actually the people are saying it is rushed because of the quick divorce and his split up with the women he was…
Ehhh... I get your point, but those issues I don't think were particularly important to the emotional arc of the story. This drama definitely wasn't going for realistic courtroom drama or even something akin to "Kramer vs. Kramer." I believe it was going for something like the western series "The Affair" or "Big Little Lies," both of which focus mostly on emotions and character. I get why people would have questions (especially about the child custody), but I'm personally okay with open endings and not knowing everything that went down. (Btw I posted that comment a year ago! It took a bit to jog my memory about this drama lol.)
ABS-CBN has also confirmed that it will air in the Philippines on Nov 20. (https://twitter.com/abscbnovelas/status/1455896204840112130)
Hopefully, GMMTV will formally announce it this weekend and give us a new trailer!
