Lai Yun Chen was only a good friend to the FL, but from high school into adulthood there was one thing she never stopped doing: blaming the ML. If a woman is raped, that crime belongs to the rapists, not to her boyfriend or partner. Besides, the ML struggled and fought to keep the FL safe. I was angry at Lai Yun Chen throughout the series for committing such an injustice. Someone commented below that the ML went through many things, but those events were never really the ML’s own story. That is very true. The ML was always a victim of circumstances. The ML had a completely lonely and abusive childhood. It was very sad. Thankfully, they didn’t show the ML’s death scene explicitly, but we heard the gunshot and they gave the time of death. There was more than a 10-minute gap, I think, which means the ML was lying there, bleeding and struggling for life. The ML didn’t deserve that. At the core, the ML was a good man. In the final scene, I think the FL was going to the ML. I’m extremely curious about what was written in that letter, but it seems we’ll never know
I couldn’t take my eyes off Takeuchi Ryoma throughout the film… the guy is dazzling in every way. Yelling at that nonsense-talking man, swearing, dancing, and all that… truly amazing. I wish they hadn’t gone for an open ending, I would’ve liked to see more. I really enjoyed watching it.
''You don't deserve to see her'' Sorry, old man? Do you really deserve it… You accepted the money in exchange for your daughter being raped and covered the whole thing up; you didn’t even try to get justice for your daughter. At the first stumble you got scared and gave up. And then you go and tell ML that they don’t deserve it? At least he tried to do something. ep7
To be fair, she also know that the person that took her interest is interested by a person that isn't interested…
You're not wrong when you say she's a spoiled princess… but I still like her because she brings some liveliness to the show. Let's see what she'll go through. I don't think she'll get anything back from 2ML, so I wonder what her path will be like…
