Episode 5 honestly felt like a turning point, but I still can’t bring myself to feel any empathy for that idiot group. Dong Man was clearly part of the inspiration behind everything they wrote, yet instead of appreciating that, they all teamed up to bully him. And suddenly, right after he left the group, they all became decent human beings or what?
It’s already obvious that Park Gyeong Se is an idiot, but his wife, Ko Hye Jin, publicly humiliated and belittled him. She even did the same thing to his brother. And after all that, she’s suddenly smiling while asking about Eun A? She lifted the ban and acted like she was doing everyone a favor or something? This married couple is seriously my least favorite part of the show. I genuinely hope she divorces him. He’s nothing but dead weight. The guy’s entire past and personality are built around Dong Man anyway.
Meanwhile, the relationship and dynamic between Dong Man and Eun A feel so genuine and warm. Watching their scenes together is honestly amazing. Go Young Jun is genuinely a really good actor, he portrays every emotion so naturally. I also saw some negative comments about Koo Kyo Hwan, especially about his appearance, but instead of debating whether he’s handsome or ugly, I think it’s much better to talk about how talented he actually is as an actor.

Episode 5 was a complete rollercoaster. I realized that, except for Hwang Dong Man, none of the side characters really have a storyline of their own, their entire existence revolves around Dong Man. In some shows, side characters are presented to the audience through their own lives as well, not just through their relationships with the main characters, but that’s not the case in this drama. Even the opening scene starts with that idiot Park Gyeong Se talking about Dong Man.

It’s that condescending, insecure superiority successful people show toward those who haven’t made it and honestly, that whole directing team is the same kind of disgrace. I can’t even remember the guy’s name, but if you’re supposed to be our guy’s friend, why don’t you stand up and say a word against them? I can understand why he might not be liked for certain reasons, but when you all gang up on someone and bully them, it’s no different from being shameless. Why the hell are you staying quiet?

I’m watching episode 2 and I’m seriously pissed off. I think that woman is the director’s wife or something like, you already kicked the guy out of your café, so why the hell are you writing that note on the door? And fine, let’s say you did when his brother showed up, did you seriously go and write a second note in that passive-aggressive way? You disgusting woman, I feel like slapping you across the face.

You might recall my comment after ep 6 that the 'near' kiss between the 2 leads might be realized after all obstacles…

Junichi was tense throughout all 9 episodes; his way of sitting and carrying himself will stick in my mind. I’m glad I watched the series, when it first started, there were almost no comments, and now more people are watching it. Every character has their flaws, but that’s kind of what being human is like.

I feel sorry for the nurse girl. She served as a barrier between Makiko and Junichi until the very end, and left as soon as she was no longer needed.

Ep1 thoughts… Being with emotionally distant people like Kim Eun-Joo is really exhausting. I honestly feel sorry for Eun-Hee. The fact that she had a miscarriage doesn’t change anything, your sister comes to you because she’s in a bad place and needs help, and you just scold her and send her away. “Don’t cry, people will look.” Why does that matter? Let the girl cry.
Also, what Chan-Hyeok did is a huge betrayal. You shouldn’t be part of something like that. You never said anything for three years, and you even went and had dinner with them several times? And you call yourself a friend, what an idiot.
Even so, Eun-Hee ended up showing maturity by going to them and apologizing. I’m also curious about the story of that gay husband. And the guy working at the café is really cute.
