Yeah our dramas are not very different, but they are really long +100 episodes. Some are novel adaptations, some are costume with fiction, some costume and historic, many contemporary. The thing is, k dramas and c dramas usually has two couples, the main and the second, but brazilian dramas always have many stories or families going on, like Reply 88. The reason people are now getting tired of brazilian dramas and watching more korean and chinese dramas in Brazil is mostly because they like the “innocence”, no sex, it actually takes time for a kiss, this innocent romantism is something brazilians miss from old brazilian dramas.

Wow first time I meet someone that likes novelas lol I’m brazilian. I actually use to watch novelas but after I started watching korean and chinese dramas I can’t watch it anymore because it is just too fast, too much kissing lol. But I like “O Clone”, “Alma Gêmea”, “Terra Nostra”, “A Casa das Sete Mulheres”, “A Vida da Gente”. Now after years without watching any novela, I’m watching “Nos tempos do imperador” because it tells the story of our beloved Emperor Pedro II.

The only time I-fans manage to do something I think it was in XZ’s case. I-fans actually saved his career. While he was granted golden broom in china, being edited out of shows because chinese people harassed the productions, I-fans were bombarding any international prize with support for XZ, giving massive views for his works on Tencent, and flooding internet with positive soft power for China because of XZ. Then the government channel CCTV declared support for XZ when all c-ent didn’t want to get near him, even airing Douluo on TV. I don’t think it was coincidence, I believe I-fans support convinced chinese government that XZ was a good promotion for China overseas. After CCTV’s support, XZ could bounce back from an ending career controversy. I strongly believe this is due to I-fans.

If Tencent just air the drama, even without promotion it would explode, 2HA has the biggest fandom in China with MDZS, if it airs in the wrong time, the drama can be banned while airing and we would never get to watch Immortality. They are extra cautious because they need to be extra cautious. Air it in a moment when people are happy, enjoying things with a positive mind. Right now c-ent is like Chernobyl after the nuclear incident, everybody is trying to stay low and save their asses. Tencent is being targeted by authorities because it is just too big and influential, it really doesn’t need much to trigger a bigger action. Not only for Immortality, it is not time for Tencent to release any BL, any kind of controversial work, just keep their space agency propaganda, some happy couples having children so the authorities can chill. Maybe we get Immortality by the end of the year like Untamed. But, yes, I’m also so mad. Watching c-ent for so many years there was always some kind of controversies but this year is definitely the worst!

LYX is not clean he has a very controversial past that already resurfaced after Ashes of Love and will probably resurface again after Immortality. But I think he has strong backing now, after all he did comeback to make Ashes of Love after years staying low because of his past and he managed to go through rumors again and be safe. But the thing is C-ent is much worse now than it was back in 2018. Because we don’t know now which netzen is a real person and which is a robot payed to manipulate the public opinion. They could resurface LYX past and pay robots to say shit about him and blow out of proportion.

The same happened with Xu Kai after he exploded with Story of Yanxi Palace. Antis found his background as model, his ex surfaced and his career took a setback then. Now it is ok, but that its C-ent. When a new actor gets too popular other companies will try to take him or her down.

Guys as a person that waited for The Wolf since 2017 I would say take care of your mental health and don’t get too hyped for rumored dates. The drama will air one time of another, I’m sure it will air this year.

I think the current world is prone to isolationism not only china. China was trying to open I reckon with soft power but after the covid thing the anti chinese sentiment spread around the world as it is pretty clear in the olympics. Also with the uyghur thing and media blowing the topic out of proportion of course China will feel attacked and become isolated.
