So which FL or support character cheat on her husband/bf ? Did she cheats physically or emotionally? Is it a FL…
Marcelito, we disagree about what the % of ´being at fault´ is in a C-drama marriage that goes through one of the most difficult situations a couple can go through as a couple, and as individuals, as woman and as man. You think the woman, Xiao Tin, is 90% at fault, and the man, Chen Yu, only a mere 10%. I simply disagree with you. I think it is 50% vs 50% of responsibility for each, Xiao Tin as well as Chen Yu are emotionally immature, in different ways. They are both responsible for the awful (non) communication between them. That´s all. Besides that, we disagree about the concept of ´cheating´. I think that Xiao Tin did not cheat or in other words ´betray´ Chen Yun. To compare, Huan Shan did cheat on (betray, lie to) his wife Gu Jia. The rich playboy Zheng Xian who is with Man Ni is a serial cheater and liar, I mention these other couples to contrapost them to Xiao Tin and Chen Yu to compare different kinds of cheating (a form of lying and betraying). Xiao Tuin may has been ´guilty´ in your view of ´emotional cheating´. I think differently about that too, End of discussion. Happy dramawatching Marcelito.

Again, let´s agree to disagree. I am watching the series for the 2nd time now, and I almost finished it (for the 2nd time). You are confusing my comments with those of someone else, or you are misinterpreting. However, it is clear that we have conflicting views in life, resulting in different reflections on characters in this C-drama and their behaviour . You (and some other commenters) are very judgmental, using expressions like `should, shouldn´t have, being at fault, etc.`. I tend to react and reflect on characters from the perspective of the human condition, human imperfections etc. You seem to react and reflect on these characters from a judgmental attitude, rather than seeing how they develop and act from who they are at that moment in this difficult, painful situation. In this series: one husband cheats behind his wife´s back, the second man is a serial cheater with some kind of twisted consent of his main girlfriend, the third man does not cheat, and neither does his wife.

Let´s agree to disagree. Unless one of the partners has a severe personality disorder, a drinking-drugs-problem, marriage issues are usually the responsibility of both partners. Like 50-50. As I see it, there was no guilty person in this marriage, just two imperfect humans in a very painful and sad situation (miscarriage). They both have their shortcomings. She was childlike, he was emotionally closed off. In their marriage there was no mature, open communication. A miscarriage has for a woman an emotional (intense loss), a fysical (pain, still bleedingj<) and a hormonal (moodswings, emtional rollercoster) side. It is way more complex than the emotional, more distant pain the man goes through. He is more of a powerless bystander, and in emotional pain too. These are facts. The feeling of loss of a child is not a match or a game. it is souldeep and real life. There usually is an enormous gap between the female and the male experience. It takes not just love, but emotional maturity, openness, communication to support eachother in the mutual, but different, pain. Sometimes external help is needed to heal. Wether it was wise of her to distract herself with a superficial amourous affair or not, can be discussed. To me it is one of those things that is part of the human condition. She was divorced, so in that sence she was free.
The writer of this drama is mentally ill, she should go to a psychiatrist and get himself treated. I don't understand…
Critique, or not liking something about a drama or its actors, is fine. Discussion is fine too. However, why write down such a toxic comment using rude words, impolite symbols and bad language. On top of it all it is based on untruth.
Watching The first Jasmine, I wrongly assumed the actress playingh the sister-in-law is Zhang You. But somehow, Liu Cong Dan and Zhang You look similar enough to be sisters or cousins, at least.
Sometimes vpn helps. I use vpn specifically to watch C- and K-dramas, pretending I´m from another continent or another country or continent. Be sure to get reliable advice on which vpn is the best to install.
You´re welcome. With the C-drama Forbidden Flower the director supposedly intended to leave it up to the viewer, he created three possibilities: HE, Open Ending, SE. So it is actually your choice. There is a C-drama thread on redd-it with discussions about this, with several links in the comments to deleted scenes (censored?). Maybe you want to check it out before or after you watch the series. https://www.reddit.com/r/CDrama/comments/1kftkiz/i_finally_watched_the_forbidden_flower/
I like the actor who plays the ML, Huang Xuan. Somehow I´ve only seen him in roles where he develops from a seemingly lovely and kind man to a horrible man.
There seems to be a misunderstanding about the ending of The Double. Somehow quite a few watchers are convinced it is a SE, while others are convinced it is a HE. That misunderstanding is because the last scene is filmed in a dreamy atmosphere. Like the intentionally ambiguous (post credits) open ending of the drama Forbidden Flower with Jerry Yan and Xu Ruohan, and several other C-dramas. However, The Double has the same happy ending as the original novel it was based on. Due to some adventures it takes time before ML returns home to the FL, so she waits patiently for his return. He definitely returns home, be it filmed in a dreamy style. The director of The Double even created an extra, short episode to make clear to the public that the CP had a happy ending indeed.
Something strange with the Netflix logo link above, I get a warning, which I usually don´t get with MDL links. However, the Chinese series Pursuit of Jade (逐玉) is available on Netflix anyways in most regions, including the Netherlands - according to AI, @Vuurvliegje. This one should be safe https://www.netflix.com/nl/title/82706180
