not scientific research, but i have noticed on a few platforms (MDL, Netflix, etc) that if the series involves "BL or gay" characters or themes, it automatically gets a rating that's stricter. in the case of Goddess Bless You, the MDL rating is only 13+. this is actually appropriate since it's not really very spicy. i think the rating is for the scary ghost characters. but take a look for yourselves and see if you agree.

cute rom com. our boy next door Jung Hae In always plays a straight sweet boy. but this time there was a bit of maturity in his character due to his rough life after amateur wrestling. do watch the first 10 minutes of episode 12. it shows our lovebirds getting married. star of the show was the dog as ring bearer. <3 don't bother watching the rest of the last episode though, which gets sappy sweet in showing all the mushy togetherness stuff. MDL has the notes on ep 12 totally wrong. it's actually ep 11 where the grandma is taken as hostage...all was totally resolved happily by ep 12. i was really hoping for some closure and depth of understanding about Tae Ha's father actually being Baek Sang Gil (the bad guy boss). now THAT would have brought some meat to this show. but DO watch, if only to support actress Ha Young, who the toxic netizens are trying to cancel.

OMG!!!! why didn't i see this spoiler before i invested weeks of viewing? i actually enjoyed this series on a low level, but damn what a stupid way to end it. ML getting killed at the VERY end. the writers must have serious mental issues, especially since so many viewers rated it so low.

All I can say is where do these Chinese actors get their energy? The ML actor playing Xio Fan is also starring in 6 other dramas in 2026! And most of them aren’t BL with 20+ episodes! Amazing acting in this 💜💜💜

Netflix isn't free, but it is on there in the US. i think this must have been a major expenditure for them. the location scenes, the huge cast (including all the performance audiences), the VERY pricey main cast, etc. i am SO in for this show...hope you can find it for free bc you HAVE to hear song kang play rachmaninoff with bloody hands !!!

waay over the top dramatic for some acting but the leads are perfect together and do well. FL is just adorable. as far as the other characters (the real/adoptive/bio) mom included) they must have done a good job because i really hated the (real/bio/adoptive) father. sheesh! in ep 10 i can't tell who is related to who any more..everyone needs a DNA test PRONTO!!!!!
