absolute 10/10 for me. this series sucks you in, makes you feel what you never thought you'd feel, and spits you out.

ditto on the dancing Wayu does. this guy is so damned talented. and yes, their chemistry is off the charts. at first blush, like in "My Stand-In", the 2 ML don't look like the perfect beautiful TBL couple, but they click so much more that all those "pretty" BL couples. amazing casting.. the side characters keep the energy moving along. love this!

you are spot on. it's turning out to be as engaging as kinn porsche was for me. giving it a 10/10 without even finishing. dayenu.

episode 10 and there wasn't a moment when i wasn't crying. giving this series a 10/10. the emotionally charged acting, production, and topping it off, the OST was amazing. i dont know if there are enough tissues in my house to get through the last 2 episodes. as ilya rozenov says, "i am dead".

Just completed episode 2. It’s just so painful watching the FL be so nervous and shy to the point where her eyes are always downcast. Hoping she gets some spine. 2nd ML is a sexy green flag who could be the best medicine for FL but according to the spoilers I’ve seen, it’s not meant to be. Unfortunate.

Hot damn. Ep 2 and ML was a ROK Recon Marine? Totally bad ass. Classified. Loving the Easter eggs too: reference to “one flew over the cuckoo’s nest. 👍🏼🇰🇷💜

i was only taking a short peek at Ep 1 since the show hasn't completed (waiting it out). but at :57 it shows ML in formation at what i'm assuming is ROK boot camp. are we going to go through another "Perfect Crown" style backlash about correctness in costuming? are the DIs in ROK really wearing a red cap that says "Ranger" on it? somehow i'm not getting real DI feels and anxious boot camp thoughts from this. do we have any ROK males on this thread that can confirm any authenticity? (signed a Mother of a Marine--MoM) TIA.

hey friend. me too! about 30 minutes in and i just had to catch my breath! moi aussi...3 kiddos with 3 totally different personalities. thankfully the US toxic mentality (at least in my town) hasn't even come close to the levels of bully prone ROK where the suicide rate is off the charts. maybe i need a good adult beverage to get back to EP 1. we shall carry on. <3

thanks for your feedback. i'm going to sit on this for a couple weeks until it fleshes out. i'd LOVE to see a white truck of doom without a corpse! and i really don't mind some family/saeguk intrigue as long as my head doesn't explode from all the added side issues and nuances. the lead actors are so well suited for each other too. great casting!

i hate to do it, but seeing all these posts about reincarnation, modern day "court intrigue", and possibly a white truck of doom get me frightened. i may need to wait to watch until all episodes have completed. i need my eventual HE. yeah, i'm weak.

Watching this on Netflix in the US. glad i watched the coronation scene...all 2 minutes of it...when i first heard about the made-up false misrepresentation. that scene was literally about 2 minutes AND the production team probably re-used the exact same headdress and beads as about 5 other K-dramas. loving the acting! can i just say i absolutely LOVE watching Steven Noe in everything he does? here in PC he's playing the PM of ROK. but he's been in so many dramas and every time he's onscreen my attention is on him. also, what's up with Netflix dropping sub lines??!!! i can't speak korean, and i'm really sure there's been many scenes where the actors speak about 3 sentences and there's nothing subbed. Netflix needs to do better!!!! justice for this wonderful show and its artists. loving it!

The OST is out of this world. Far beyond the level of the story and acting. Amazing! 💜

Enjoying the first few episodes. So the concensus is definitely watch the first 20 episodes. Skip the middle parts and watch maybe the last couple episodes. Really not looking forward to the ML having grief and loneliness for 17 episodes.

if anyone is still interested in watching Farewell My Concubine, it's available on YouTube, BUT you have to do some sleuthing because currently it's listed with the Actor's name, Leslie Cheung in the title. as is typical of YT, there are snippets of the movie available also, but the FULL movie is over 2 hours long.
