Aside from Ha Jae Sook and Shin Sung Rok, the acting is rather weak. Go Won Hee has limited expressions, and she dominates the screen most of the time. Aside from that, I also don't think the writers can resolve this unless they let her plus-sized version make a comeback or kill her once the perfume is finished.

I am tempted to put this on hold or drop it.

I will be honest and say I never cared much for Lady Hwang, but I appreciate the writer's thoughtfulness for her. She was not cast aside when she stopped being part of a certain someone's life. The writer chose to show more of her in her own skin, and I like that consideration.

Honestly, his role is pretty much main than support. Good to know I'll have someone along with whom I can gush over Nokdu's poise and class in the comment section.

Watched the first two episodes / first episode, and I love Shin Sung Rok. He adjusts himself according to the character, which is something I really respect. I like the comedy element - it's wacky, and I like that. I am not easily offended when it comes to joking about death and suicide. I'll admit, the first two episodes were a little problematic, but I guess I would have taken offence had this drama been a serious one and had aimed to address mental illness. Since it was not marketed that way, I'll try to be less critical.

The plot, however, will bring issues - the change to a slimmer, younger version is temporary, the FL is married and has a child, so how exactly will they resolve this, if romance is supposed to have a happy ending? I'm going to trust the comments and continue with this. It seems things are promising.

General Nokdu is my favourite too! And noth actors have embodied their roles perfectly!

I genuinely enjoy Yi Kang's interactions with Jeon Bong Jun. I always laugh with them if the situation calls for it.

The cinematography really captured the rage inside him. I loved the camera angle at which they showed him.

Watching episode 35, and I saw hints of the angry Yi Kang. And I was glad he was finally standing up for himself. He has come a long way. I am proud.

And what makes the statement hard-hitting and an irony, in my opinion, is that Yi Hyun, a man who is himself been "barbaric" in his dealings, uses it to justify his doings. It saddens me - and makes me rolls my eyes too - that this is how seemingly civilized, sovereign nations oppress and take over other nations.

Man, Lady Song is traveling up to my favourite female characters' list. Woman! I adore your nerves and persistence. I almost want to scream, unlike my nature, "QUEEN!!!!"

I agree that Lord Hwang has a great role in shaping Yi Hyun, but I think Yi Hyun ended up attaching still more importance to him after he discovered his true intentions when he was drafted as a soldier. He went from obsessively admiring him to obsessively despising him - something his brother warned him about. Yi Hyun had the privilege of education and travel to guide him when he was face-to-face with the Ogre, but Yi Kang had neither. Who thrived in the end? I should not draw parallels, but this is exactly what the writer did by creating Ogre and letting Yi Kang nurture his better sense, like Nokdu did. I am afraid Yi Hyun was too far gone when he returned for the first time as a local soldier for his older brother, or the old Yi Hyun, to be able to save him. I am not sure if I can feel sorry for Yi Hyun, though a part of me still begs for the small place where his gentle nature hides to appear.

I agree that he is a very compelling character! I am impressed by the writing and how each character has been made so realistic and acceptable, even with their dark side.

And that was when I learned Lady Song was not a two dimensional character at all. You will love her soft-hearted but composed nature.

The thing about this drama is, it can drag at many points, which steals from the essence of the narrative. Although I feel for the characters, repeated scenarios, although applicable in real life, do not result in a cohesive story in the fictional world. I am only on episode 19, and I think this should have been 32 episodes long, not 40. Who knows, my opinion might change along the way.

I want to add that audience went into it with the wrong idea - that it would just be about BokGil and Jong Hyun only. That's pretty unrealistic approach since he is a human. Na Woo received unnecessary hate, because the actress either doesn't fulfil the "pretty" criteria for some and/or seems clingy to others. Her love for animals and interest in Jong Hyun was integral for said man, because he was suffering mentally and had put himself in a limbo. The extra push was required by his best friend and Na Woo. It was also shown that they were neighbours, so it should be obvious why she was seen around him. The point is, she understood his love for his pet and saw him for who he was. Her character also served as an understanding to Jong Hyun about the faultlessness in moving on.

The poignancy of love and loss is the whole point of this little drama.

This did good for a web drama. Han Yeri did amazingly in her voice acting. If you told me she turns into a cat, I would believe you. I liked the FL, unlike popular opinion. The scenes featuring our main character and our sexy cat were adorable. Only fault I find is that the episodes should have been added to flesh out the characters. And the acting wasn't really great. But I'm satisfied! Nice, short watch. 8/10 - considering it's a web drama

The height of foolishness of the ML in the first episode alone made me want to drop this. But I'm persevering for the FL. Let's see how long I can bear this.

I wonder how Yi Hyun will face Yi Kang now. Perhaps he has forgotten already, like he claimed to in front of Lady Song. He is too rash, akin to an 'uncivilized' person, ironically, and maybe he desires to be the one in power. I fear Yi Hyun is too driven a man now to back down at a smaller status even if he does achieve equality in the end. Perhaps I am underestimating his ambition, but I am too disappointed in him to want to give him much credit anymore. He is a shell of a man who, just for a revenge against his Master, will do anything necessary. Understandably, he was enraged, but now, he has crossed a line. He is like his father in many aspects. But I have no complaints with how the character was written, of course, Great writing.

On a lighter note, in the preview of the next episode, it seems Yi Kang will comfort Yi Hyun's fiance. That's a nice sight to see, their interaction. The poor girl is being too harsh on herself. The doing was solely her fiance's and her brother's and a bunch of other factors.
