On Boys' Lockdown Nov 2, 2020
So far, this is my favorite young love show. No angst about being gay, being honest with the ex-girlfriend, no scheming females. The gratuitous shirtless scenes provide the comic relief. I hope that Key doesn't get hurt by the video, but focuses on that he is Chen's crush.

I know no one has brought this up yet, but I’m gonna put this out there just in case a hater use this against…
I love this show and this episode was great. I think Karl was dancing because he did two things that were out of character, he told his parents the truth, then he reached out to Vlad. As they say, the first person you come out to is yourself, so why not feel free? Since Vlad came back, we don't know whether or not Karl would have fought for Vlad, but when Vlad came back, Karl immediately motioned him to join and finally surrendered to his feelings. The comments about Karl being feminine or gay dancing are old fashioned. It's up there with the top/bottom stereotypes.

For those confused about Judit and her inconsistent accents: I think they intended her to be a conyo, a Filipino…
Thanks for explaining this. I don't know anything about Filipino culture, so this is just my perception without understanding the cultural aspects. Since there is an age gap between Judit and Vlad, she is the child who had to witness the unhappiness between her parents. When their dad walked out, it must have devastated her as well. Sometimes we cope with our pain by trying to be the best, perfect, and everybody's "ally" including to to her friend Anna. In my opinion, the scene in the car, she let go of this and allowed Vald to run back to Karl is where I feel we saw the real Judit.

Thank you. I would not have found it on my own. Karl Zarate is such a good singer.

First I've heard of them, but not the last. They are talented! I'm wondering if anyone put together an OST list. I like all of the music, which is rare for me.

On Quaranthings: The Series Oct 30, 2020
I really loved this series. Both learned to takes risks and take a stand for themselves. Judah decided to take a risk on Rocky instead of having "space" and Rocky took a risk on coming out to his dad. My only complaint is, they should have subtitled the soundtrack, especially the originals.

Title Quaranthings: The Series Spoiler
Episode 8: Quarantine Pass (Part 2) was a perfect finale for this series. All throughout its run, this series…
I enjoyed this whole series! I was happy for both of them because they each decided to take a risk on each other. Rocky came out to his dad (who already knew) and Judah learned that his grandmother had unresolved feelings about her ex-husband. I didn't care for the phallic artwork because I felt that it was male adolescent humor.

Title Like in the Movies Spoiler
I really don't like the show, and the script, but I do like Ian and his sister, the only thing that is good, the…
I am not affiliated with this project, just a viewer with an opinion. I think that Karl set himself free when he announced to his parents that he is switching majors. He decided that he is not going to live his dead brother's life to make his parents happy, he will live his own, including who he chooses to love. That's why he is not conflicted, he is happy. In the previous episode he was very conflicted about his feelings toward Vlad, that's why he flinched with the lights came on. His dancing is not "gay" maybe you see it in gay clubs, but he is dancing in a similar way to Vlad in episode 1, so maybe that's subconscious. Also, heteros dance like that too. As far as kissing and hugging in bed, he likes Vlad. He called Vlad on the phone to watch a movie. He wasn't able to tell Vlad that he missed him and wanted to see him, but we know that's why he made the call. Maybe you should watch the whole episode, because this episode had many revelations, and only watching for 5 minutes will not give you the true picture of what took place.

Title My Extraordinary Spoiler

I watch some gay couple YouTubers from other countries and let the ads run so they can make money. I'm older, so to be honest, I want them to get some income so they can be independent from their families. I'm surprised at how many say they are not out to their families. I'm surprised because moms are usually not stupid. Child hasn't had boyfriend/girlfriend + living with a same sex person in a studio + always with this "roommate" = heterosexual? I don't get it. We need to love our kids as our kids. Who cares who they fall in love with? It would break my heart if my child couldn't share this part of life with me.

Can we talk for a moment about MAME's obsession with painful gay sex? (And other women writers as well.)As a gay…
Although I understand that there is too much focus on non-con, I think the painful sex stereotype was debunked by Can himself. Can thought it was going to hurt but apparently it didn't because he ended up loving it and wanted to do it again right away (this is also in the book). Can also seems to want to have sex and he lets Tin know when he does, like when they were on the couch. Then again, BL never mentions that some couples do not like anal and do not engage in it.

I agree. Love Sick received the same critiques, but now is beloved. I like this drama and it's not because they kissed in episode 8. I think everybody is working hard on this drama, given they have a large cast and shoot in multiple settings.

On My Day the Series Sep 27, 2020
I really like this series. Yes, there are flaws such as the computers not being turned on and in episode 8, they are at a resort, but the door to the room has a cat door. They seem to have put their money on filming and cast. When a country is launching a new genre, there are hurdles to overcome. Look at Love Sick episode 1, it was so confusing, almost unwatchable and was a mess. Gameboys (which I also liked) did not have the location shooting and large cast that this series does. This story does not have the pandemic to use as a 3rd main character either (so far). The same critiques (cringe, bad acting, etc) were said about Love Sick, and now people are nostalgic when they speak of that series. I think that I can get over the flaws because the story is sweet. Ace feels unloved by his family, but he loves Sky and Sky and his family loves him. I hope this series doesn't have a sad ending, but so far, I think they are doing a great job.

Title Until We Meet Again Spoiler

I agree with In having his rant because he was devastated and In also took accountability for shooting himself too. They omitted that Korn's dad beat him because he said that he wouldn't take over the loan business. They also cut out that In's dad beat Korn right before Korn shot himself. Korn did not defend himself, he took the beating. Not only that, In's mother witnessed everything because she followed her husband to the condo. They also didn't include Dean and Parm in the future (I won't spoil it) and that's why I said they may want to save it for a special episode.

I loved this series but felt let down by the ending, and I thought the ending was the weakest part of the series. While everybody was bashing on Korn, the violent scenes toward Korn were deleted from the show, and those scenes give a better understanding of why Korn made that impulsive decision. The acting and the music were great, and these actors have a long career ahead of them. Maybe they're saving what they left off of the ending for a special episode.

Ok I'm sorry but I don't understand why everyone likes this drama so much. It got boring after like 9 episodes…
I like the series because of the acting, storytelling and music - yes the most hated parts! I think since the story is supernatural, I just go with the flow and buy into the story. I will never get tired or Boy Sompob either. What I don't like is the suicide scene being played over and over and over. I think it's a little unnecessary to keep showing it because anybody who saw episode 1 isn't going to forget what they saw.

I didn't read the novel and didn't realize it was translated to English. In the drama (which may be different from the book) Type asks Tharn to have sex. My guess is that Type thinks that if he does a "one and done", he will stop desiring Tharn, but it doesn't work that way.

I'm thinking that the people are writing thought provoking comments based on their reflections of the series. I don't know if the author set out to think about these topics when she developed her characters.

Title TharnType Spoiler
I'm in agreement with most of the folks posting here. By this I mean, I loved the acting, the flow and pace of…
I understand where you're coming from, but I think this series does a better job of handling sexual assault and victims than other dramas. I think that most viewers are more comfortable with the Tar sexual assault victim prototype, rather than Type. When female characters behave like Type (hating men), they don't get as much criticism. That we are even having a discussion about male sexual assault is unusual because even in the LGBTQ+ male community, sexual assault isn't always discussed. Tharn admits that he was wrong in pushing Type sexually, and Type hasn't really gotten over his sexual assault and internalized homophobia. Also, Type's sexual assault took place in a rural community where "everybody" found out about it. Rural vs urban also has dynamics. While I don't condone the violence and sexual conduct in this drama, I am glad the series has allowed for discussion of topics that are not usually discussed. In the US, a man was sexually assaulted by his ex-girlfriend by machete. The morning DJs during my drive to work joked that the woman must be really ugly if she has to use a machete, instead of empathizing with the male victim. I think that viewers of this series bringing forward thought provoking discussions like this will help change future storytelling.
