I just love how Hou Minghao portrayed demon Hong Ye and human Hong Ye so differently. You could sense that aura of a King from Demon Hong Ye,he is calm,responsible, always looking after every demon being, a king you can always trust. On the other hand Human Hong Ye is someone very hurt,tortured,restless.... He was really desperate to save his people.

Hong Ye was completely different from JBZ,a romantic lovesick playboy but a strong warrior or Baili Dongjun, a rebellious teen so full of life. Or our lazy taoist Wang Ye,not caring for anyone or anything. HMH is such a great actor portraying all those characters so differently.

Can't agree you more... People always reduce zyz-zyc-li lun as bromance/love triangle when it couldn’t be more wrong. Li lun-zyz were best friends. After zyz left,li lun was like a lost child with no fried,no family, nothing. No wonder he was beating Yi Chen every occasion, in his pov,yi chen stole his most favourite toy,his best friend, his only friend. Zyz was not his lover. He was li luns only family in the vast wilderness. Yichen and Yuanzhou had a whole other story. They were more like soulmates,thats not love. Yichen forgave Yuanzhou and released him from such a deep guilt and pain,gave him a new hope to live again. Yuanzhou saw that sad teen boy inside Yichen who had to grew adult overnight after lossing his whole family. That's why they had a deep bond,both broken soul found a friend in each other,a protector, someone to look after to,a family. They helped each other to grow,to find peace, find something worth to hold on.Not every relationship needs to be romantic. There is always something beyond romantic,thats more pure,more blissful. This where BL shippers always makes the mistakes. Zyz-Wen Xiao were the real romantic couple in this drama. Just because they weren’t acting like they're always in love,kissing or hugging,that never reduce the fact that,their love was mature and very understanding.Wen Xiao always understood zyz's inner pain,she supported him,tried to heal him,she was someone zyz could always lean on to.

People keeps mentioning ZYZ-ZYC as BL relationship,or hidden bl. I think theres something they all are missing. ZYZ always used that cheeky,teasing,funny persona to hide the pain and depression he had been gone through for millennia. His true love has always been Wen Xiao. Just because they weren’t always on each others face confessing or kissing or showing love,people had a hard time to accept them as couple. But in reality, their love was something very mature and understanding. They're
adults,already established couple. They didn’t need to confess every other scene. They knew they love each other,understood each others dilemma and were each others side the whole time. Yichen and Yuanzhou had a whole other story. They were more like soulmates,thats not romantic love. A bond that was sudden found but always protected.

A very cliche horror movie. Everyone been doing what they're told exactly NOT to do,jumpscares every two minutes,very very stupid side characters and so many loopholes and unanswered questions. Idk if there will be a season 2 or not,but if it happens,I hope they will at least try to answer the questions.

Yeah..its a shame they deleted her part of the story which was really important to understand why jbz bonded with her so well and never blamed her...both were some traumatised souls seeking for love. I saw some pics of Mingyi on twitter of that scene and that script was also there. Thats how I found out about her past. I never read the novel...so many people like me who never read the novel misunderstood her.

To answer your qs,nah,no one ends up together. ZYZ died,Wen Xiao kept waiting for him to ressurect and Yichen went out to find the last remaining spirit of ZYZ.

God knows why I keep coming back to this page over and over again as if zyz would actually ressurect and they would make a season 2 of that 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think you kind of misunderstood the scene after Mingyi being tortured... Cant blame you,people has actually reduced it into just a hot romantic scene for that kiss. JBZ never initiated anything, neither did Mingyi. She was completely under spell,trying to find some warmth since that spell made her inner childhood trauma more significant. JBZ was completely confused who was she talking to,was it him or MingXian. He kept his composure and kept asking her calmly until he was sure it is him she has been confessing over and over again and only after that he initiated.There was a deleted scene before that where er shiqi told him why MingYi was so traumatised of her mom,he even used Buxiu's dragon scale to treat her. It was not only a romantic scene, it was supposed to be an emotional base of the beginning of their actual relationship if all the scenes and stuffs were not deleted. This drama had 4epi worth contents deleted.... So yeah,lots of contexts were gone with that.

Yeah that pavillion kiss too...there were also other conversations between jbz and mingyi where jbz confronts her about mingxian and gets angry what kind of man is mingxian who cant even protect his own girl lol

There was a whole part before that hot bath scene where er shiqi told jbz about mingyi's traumatizing childhood,how her mother used to lock her up in the room always,how she used to love the smell of pancakes from the kitchen but could never eat cause she was always locked up,thats why she loved scallion pancakes,how she had to disguise herself as mingxian....jbz got to know her childhood,understood everything, he even used buxiu's dragon scale to treat her. This whole conversation was deleted.

FoF is probably one of the very few drama's where each and every osts are excellently written,composed and performed! So easy on ear,so dreamy,so beautiful. Return after a long dream and Yuanzhou's youth remain unbeaten till now.... I was expecting something like this from VoS too,they're good ngl...but FoF ost's are still on the top!!!

They underplayed her trauma so badly...ofc she can't tell him the truth cause she has lived her whole life in lies,in disguise. She is traumatised, lying is like her coping mechanism. Beside her love for JBZ and his trust towards her....both of their traumas played a big role in the story. But the director never showed her story properly.

Unfortunately, it seems like he did. It was like he tried to create the same emotional journey like FoF. But to me,VoS became a mess cause of very complex story writing and repetition of the same thing over and over again. Also couldn’t avoid the feeling of him copying FoF after watching certain scenes.

I will always blame the director for deleting such crucial scenes regarding MingYi's trauma which was one of the main reasons behind her lying and never gathering courage for telling JBZ the truth. Girl has literally been trapped her whole life.....and they deleted those precious informations which is causing so much hate towards her.

Hou Minghao was probably one of the best thing in FoF,him as Zhao Yuanzhou is once in a lifetime performance. His portrayal of that 34000 years old demon who has seen and experienced things,gone through a lot,hid himself in wilderness for thousands of years cause of his guilt,sadness,depression...but still a man of integrity,always protecting the others,always hiding his pain behind that naughty smile and flirty behaviour.... HMH was living as the Great Demon,he showed all the emotions with perfection!
