basically she is able to extend her life by several years. maybe 5-10 years. they have children. theres a montage of all the happy moments their entire family shares with both in laws and they go on trips, the children are adorable, they make it to one trillion club, baeksong basically have the time of their lives together. then it flashes to the present with a much older Hyunwoo holding two kids 13-15 yo on each side by the hand visiting their mom at the cemetery. he smiles with teary eyes, at peace with all the joyous moments they shared.

I've been trying to think of a happy-ish ending for this drama but not too happy because it just wouldn't make sense. Haein is terminally ill and its obvious her symptoms are worsening by the day. I think a miraculous recovery and a happy ever after could possibly ruin this great drama and the audience could be left with a , "what do you take us for??" kinda reaction. so I came up with something below.

im pretty confident theres nothing in the safe either. otherwise, mo seulhee wouldnt tell them to take a tour of the home. she absolutely knows something. What i do hope is that there was nothing there to begin with and grandpa left a VM in the pen on exactly where the money is.

i still love this drama with all my heart but this past episode was kind of all over the place. i think it was jamming a little too much into one episode. Not sure if the audience really needed all of it. we just wanted more baekhong screen time with their rings

maybe its setting us up for next weekend? the only good thing is that its not as cliffhangy so the week shouldnt be *as* painful.

I do wish he was a bit more angry at her. being lied to is already bad enough but he’d been fathering someone else’s son. that should strike something within him.

agree with being in a dilemma. I also want a happy ending but don’t want it to be predictable. like some type of miraculous recovery just wouldn’t be plausible. open or bittersweet would probably fit this drama more but man…I want a happy ending so badly. thank god I’m not a writer bc I don’t know even know how to accomplish that with this drama

okay okay but hear me out. did anyone else feel bad for eunsong after he got punched and his mom was like omo what happened to your face and he just took a step back and slapped her hand away? “don’t try and pretend like you’re a normal mom. I’ve always lived a hopeless life. nothing hurts anymore, each pain just covers the other.”

it’s kinda sad that he lives like this. his life isn’t really living. it’s just not dying. and not dying while he sees the love of his life never loving him back, is probably worse than death itself. he probably schemes to be the hero to take what he wants bc that’s the only way he knows how to get what he wants. like that’s his life.

it’s odd that he doesn’t learn from his mistakes though. Haein recalled his similar actions during uni and he’s literally doing it again hoping for a different conclusion? I feel for him. he was born to be a pawn, and since when does a pawn ever get the queen? ☹️

I don’t know how KSH does it bc in one sense his HAEIN AH could look frustrated or angry or annoyed. but I don’t think that really came through. I think all of us just felt that he was trying to get her back to her senses. it was almost like a reassuring but desperate plea.

I’d like to think most of us did bc the drama didn’t try to conceal it. his first question was what are you doing here? hyunwoo wouldn’t ask that. and then of course the distant and not-warm-no-honey-dripping-from-eyes gaze.

I thought Eunsong is ultra mega rich. he was introduced at the party in episode 2 (?) as managing Middle East oil or something. why he need extra money?

then why was grandpa afraid of going to prison if it’s a legal slush?

hey where are the 35 cows that were promised. That was part of the confession and unless i start seeing some cows, I'm gonna be questioning the authenticity of his relationship proposal.

Years down the road, there will be dramas referencing this one. now ain't that extraordinary. WE ARE WITNESSING HISTORY YA'LL.

im honestly tired of people leaving her alone. Like hello, people. she cannot be left alone. she hallucinates and gets lost. Makes no sense to me that he leaves her in the dark whilst it is raining while he goes and gets his car. I was trying to also think of something that shows Hyunwoo is Hyunwoo so I'm thinking an item that he has. So I came up with the MP3 player. (yay or nay??)

what's it like to binge a legendary drama like this? T_T i'll never know.
