rewatching queen of tears. despite all that transpired, he really is a great actor. not many can hold a candle to his executions, microexpressions, line deliveries sigh. the industry lost a real talent. I’m sad for everyone involved.
I’m reeeeeally not here to place blame or support one side vs the other. just here as a regular drama watcher who enjoys good talent onscreen. 😩
I am here to confess something. So when this aired , i also didn't like this drama at all because how second half…
starting my first rewatch. I think I remember the second half sucking too. Will probably watch first half and skim the rest. stuff comes back to me as I watch. I really think the bad guy, not the mom, reeeeeeally deserved a redemption arc. I remember what happened to him.
and wow, the micro expressions from the leads are excellent. lip quivering and all. I’ve already cried so many times and still on episode 6.
The difference between Linghe and Xiwei in normal paparazzi videos during filming and their OFFICIAL behind the…
great observation about behavioral changes once actors get more famous. I totally agree. the more famous they get, the more cautious they become. saw some BTS footage of overdo, it’s like they weren’t even TRYING to be friends 😅my delulu self shipped them on looks alone since I saw them once as Gucci ambassadors. but they don’t got it, from the bts ive seen 😅just gonna look forward to the edited finished product!
Been seeing a lot of residual POJ CP shipping. Fans that are still stuck back with POJ and drama watchers who just want to move on. It’s pretty unfortunate when the next project is coming up soon and imo, with a highly anticipated FL. (I’m so excited for overdo)
But I don’t think we can necessarily put all the blame on those fans. The industry, the marketing, ALLLLLLL that is cdrama ent create a romantic virtual environment for fans to feed off of. Notice how the behind the scenes for POJ was super cute, he was taking her pulse, they giggle while staring into each other eyes. The hi6 variety stuff that comes out promoting their drama while really sprinkling that romance in there with physical touch and smiles. Other dramas have leads FaceTiming each other while the drama is airing. (Not sure if they did for POJ but they def did for LLTG) They DEF leeeeeean into the cp behavior. And it’s all a ruse, to maximize engagement for the drama and hype the fans up. They absolutely know what they’re doing.
Then of course after the drama is done airing, like during their wrap up party, the two look like they’re friendly strangers who just met. 😑 they have to quickly switch gears and prepare the sammmeee kinda act, but for their next dramas. This kind of 180 switch is so jarring and so obvious. It’s hard for fans that…maybe are a bit more naive or hopeless romantics or make dramas their entire life, they fall victim to these manipulations. 🤷🏻♀️ these fans are basically doing exactly what cent wanted them to do. It’s all a strategic and calculated business model.
Sorry! Long and wordy. But, if you’re reading this and obsessed with POJ cp and can’t move on, know that it’s really just all for show. The actors would never, ever date. They’re at their peak, dating would destroy their careers right now. Sad but that’s c-ent. Don’t let the industry fool you. Enjoy what the dramas have to offer, and then move on and enjoy the next one!!
Weren't there rumors that FL has been changed recently to Tian xi wei. I feel like Dilraba is unlikely to pick…
same. they give off sibling energy, IF that. I’ve seen them in the truth and they don’t seem to have good romantic chemistry. it’s odd, they both look like friendly coworkers
jungkookieeeee 🥰 why is he pretty much in but there’s no official announcement? and why do we think they’re…
how casting works - do you mean producers typically lock in the ML first, followed by the FL? or do you mean they lock in one lead first to create hype and slowly look for the other lead?
