the thing he said to male lead can be considered "the truth" but he said it under the circumstances of advoid responsibility and trying to hurt him into silence. if he got more power and got more choices of trusted people i bet retort is not the only thing he will do. and He also chose ML for the job because he know he got a tight handles. he can dispose of him anytime. the way he treat ML never show respect. just coaxing him like a little child. never see him as equal. feel more like a pawn than a "brother" the official who died, he also didn't feel any remorse for him because if he did he wouldn't deflect it to just another mistake. ML lecture of him is not appropriate because he was just a minister but got too emotional because he had work for months for it to end badly. Still, the way the emperor deflect it show his poor personality. really petty and narrow mind. feel bad if this is what the country will end up with. I could be wrong and this kid just need some character development. but at the moment he freaking annoying to me.

i like the plot tho. hope they stick to the main story. but if you mean the rate R revenge porn i think its understandable 😂. the novel came out 2016. i think it went really graphic because at the time it kinda popular in web novels (before the novel ban thing). there a lot of popular dark, anti hero, (even villain 😅) protagonist at the time.
i think despite dislike the novel its cool you still down for the drama. im sure they will make it way less graphic&less revenge porn because censorship. and a lot of moral values change from 10 yrs ago. they need to make FML up to present audience taste too.
but if you only gonna watch the drama i think its better not bother because there little chance they actually go with 5 uncle and 1 aunt like in the book. mostly they cut to 2-3 at best if not cut all off.

i dont think they strickly ban rebirth anymore tho. there been surprisingly a lot of them lately. i think its the adaptation. the series products team feel like it didn't need to be. and tbh in the novel Fml didn't feel like a rebirth fml at all. she naive and helpless. her only good quality is her "pure heart" unlike other rebirth girls. this one barely got to use her "knowledge" i always think it only became rebirth because it was popular backing 2015-2016(when the story come out)

the pacing is good. the family schemes are kinda juicy but pretty PG, not dog blood type like The double ETC.
like if you into historical chinese family drama ,fighting over the succession, girls scheme against e/o and local officials bake off then you in for a tea😉
i hope they take it there and have a GOOD female villain tho. just to make a piont both men and women can also be unredeemable. this series got too many unredeemable men and when its women they scared or too bias to go there. this is the only disappointment i feel so far.
anyway this series keep me entertian thru a marathon watch. 👌🏻
