Surprising tense action packed film. on Netflix, Grace and Bob were very good in getting us hooked right from the start. That’s the power of good directing and excellent acting as the main leads were convincingly in dire trouble. Nick Cheung and Liu Ye were also very good as cops and robbers. They instilled an acid environment for the survivors of the plot. Never a dull moment. Very enjoyable film. Strongly recommended
This love story was brought alive by Roy Chiu and Tiffany Hsu. He deserved his best actor award in 2021 for this one. This was not the usual love story but one with substance. A lot of the character’s style of trying to conceal his pain caring for his girlfriend was genuinely felt behind the joker’s mask, This is very much Roy. Tiffany stood out as the serious partner which Roy had to convince. Her melting down at the end was heart breakingly touching. The chemistry between the two percolated into one’s veins and left a lasting impression, Deserved her best actress award. I hope their off screen romance will blossom forever. Definite worth watching. Deserved the best motion picture award for 2021 . You may want to re watch it again just to see how the two of them reacted to each other on screen. Good one
A light hearted romantic drama made successful by Bruce He and Vivian Sung excellent acting brining ordinary characters dreams to life. And they were instantly likeable from the start. Their vibrant energy transformed this sombre drama into an entertaining watch. Recommended.
This is a drama with lots of words of wisdom. Unfortunately, most of them are hidden in the spoiler sections from a lot of viewers. You can tell by the large number of comments. I would recommend you to read through them once you are in a position to do so. Very very strong recommendation to see this drama
Simple story but it was able to touch the heart strings of the audience. This was down to excellent acting by Shu Qi and Liu Ye. The love story took a while to get going to paint the start of the relationship. Lui Ye was the man always there to catch her when she fell. The ending was very well done summarising their journey through pain, patience and finally love and respect for each other. The slow transformation of Li Pei Yu on her return to look after her man was dramatic. An excellent movie with a cast of world class actors. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
You can tell it is a great drama from all the heated comments about it. The chemistry between Roy and Alice were second to none. The grin from Roy and the batting eyelids from Alice stole the show. The conversations were witty and fun. They have grown and matured significantly since Office Girls. It still remains as one of my top five Taiwanese drama. Joanne Tsang was something else as Roy's sister. She managed to make you feel her genuine aggression towards Huan Zhen and yet retained a reserved side for her often out of love brother. Even some comments downgraded the ending, I actually thought this was very well done. During the coffee meeting right at the end, Justin had to shake Huan Zhen out of her shell of insecurity to make sure she would not runaway again in the future. Even though the flashback did show Roy only had one girl in his heart from his schooldays to the present time, I did not think Alice got that message. The ending could dwell a little more on how Alice felt when she heard those words from Roy. The best phrase of the drama to me is no doubt what Roy said at his proposal to Huan Zhen. " I can’t answer your question whether we will be happy till the end,....Because this answer…we will have to find it together." So romantic. Must watch drama. Great cast. Great acting. I like how the producers painstakingly showed Justin's devotion to the one who meant the world to him. The costume including the wedding dresses looked fantastic on the girls. Justin was also smartly dressed throughout. I will definitely rewatch it shortly.
I actually enjoyed this marathon drama. Annie Chen was superb as the strong willed but kind hearted Yi-Jie. Her many perplexed looks, little romantic gestures and body language for Weiching were very good. On the contrary, Weiching did very well to express his shy affection for her. The plot was liven up by Puff Kuo as his brother's girl friend and and Jenna Wang as Yi-Jie's love rival. She was actually good at it with no beating round the bush. If you were bored in the middle, then just skip to ep 79 and catch up with the rest of the story.
This is easily one of the best romantic comedies of recent time. Netflix did choose their foreign languages drama carefully. Light hearted and humorous, it makes you chuckle even after a hard day at the office. Shen Xin Ren and Qin Zi Qi are wonderful. as a matching pair from different background. Their facial expressions, and their care for each other in their own ways have won my heart. Priceless. The atmosphere was further lifted by the very talented manager She Te Long. Fantastic songs throughout. One drama to be treasured and rewatch again in the future.
The criticism for Alice’s portrayal of the character was totally unfair. She was very good in bringing her inner charm and beauty across for this innocent hard working girl. She was very likeable. No wonder Roy fell head over heels for her. This was a lady who could work, listen and support him. She was not weak but trusted her man no matter what accusations were levied towards him. Who would not want that by his side. Roy, on the other hand, was fantastic. He eyes, his nods managed to bring his character alive and paired extremely well with Alice as the young man who had to defend his girl. The two did not have to say much and yet one could sense the intense feelings for each other. This is what good acting is all about
Graphic display of devastation to children who lost their mother after she committed suicide. This is a serious drama which explored the bombshell aftermath to friends and family as a result of infidelity. Matsushima san was excellent and well deserved the best actress award for her main role as the housekeeper. She managed to keep the suspense until the end. Very thoughtful and yet bluntly put her charge in place. It certainly deserved its honor as the best drama of the year.
Refreshing to see judges in "Heros" court. Judging cases by listening and understanding the defendants, as well as site visits. Takenouchi and Kuroki were good to balance each other's extreme. The veteran Kohinata invaribly added sensibility to the trio. The stories were good. Hope to get a second season to attend to some unfinished business. A great one to watch for relaxation.
This really is a gem. It is about ambition in ones career against the love and care for the other. It was very sweet to watch the main actors love interest grow. Aragaki san was superb as she managed to display all her emotions, under restraints from work, towards the awkward and shy pilot Sorai. Shibata san, as section chief was magical, in providing encouragement to his team, particularly when they were down. Great actor. Well directed and well acted by the whole team. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I found every episode interesting in building up the relationship between Inaba and Sorai. I will definitely rewatch it again .
Has anyone recognised our sensei in her role as Ando Lloyd's support unit Sapuri? I did not until I watched the said drama the second time. She was good
I now begin to understand the success of the Dr X . It is purely for entertainment and in some way leave the viewer with a feel good factor. Particularly when one is tired after a long day at the office. Daimon sensei can achieve the impossible when the boastful arrogant doctors fought for fame, power and money around her. She is not into any of that. Her simple soul is only interested in surgery to offer her best for her patients. She is direct and without fear of upsetting her seniors. Would we not like to do that in our life? But have the skills to back where our mouths are? A very entertaining third season. There is more of a story in this season than before.
After watching it again for the second time, this drama remains entertaining with pace, suspense and romance. Both Kimurasan and Shibasaki san were excellent in bringing the 'click robot' alive. Special mention must be made to Endosan as a veteran defective and Honda san as the lively support unit. The 'oozing out' was very well done cinematography. The music "your eyes" and "wow wow" are memorable and well chosen for the right moments. Well worth the rewatch.
I must congratulate the producer and directors in making this very entertaining medical drama. The sound track is suitably composed to describe the gentle rural surrounding of the hospital and Dr Amakasu. The pace then picked up when Igarashi started to view the patient’s scans like a human computer. All the actors played their part with true passion. Fantastic all round One not to be missed.
This is an excellent heart warming drama. Great characters in story well matched with superb acting. I must recommend trying to watch the first season first. It will be much more rewarding.
Excellent drama. Both Haru and Suzuki san had great chemistry working together. In season 1, the stories were interesting and easy to follow. Solving a riddle surrounding a classic Japanese love poem was particularly memorable. Worth rewatching again in the future.
Long story describing the fall of a Yakuza family. The acting was superb as actions spoke many of the words. It makes one thinks about the story for a long while, with memorable scenes replayed over and over again in one's mind. The pain suffered by immediate family was profound and punishment was for ever. Certainly a soul searching movie and I cannot recommend it more. I hope there will be a sequel.
Too painful to watch. Too much politics. Whenever one hears the theme song Aitakute Ima sung by Misia , one can remember seeing Saki sitting on the grass near the cliff looking at the sky and wondered when her lost love would return.
