Just another note, Wi Ha Joon and Hwang In Yeop's characters are terribly mistreated in this drama. The mother and daughter duo are already set to end up with pre-decided leads, and its really frustrating, specially for the daughter, but what can you do? These two boys were amazing in the show, gonna watch more drama by them.
Lee Do Hyun's acting s impeccable in this drama. I can't believe how good he is, this is the first time I'm watching him. Gonna watch more dramas of his for sure. As for this drama, I think I didn't like the trope of emphasizing how young and pretty a mother of 18-year old kids looks, just because the actor was young for the most part, but that aside, this drama was fucking amazing. Cliches and all. Loved it!!
This show has a really chill, relaxed vibe to it, but I still didn't like it that much. I like the female lead's actress, I really liked her in Rookie Historian, she has a unique acting style. The main leads' relationship can be described as healthy sure, but it didn't convey a depth of emotion imho. It was very honest and transparent though. The story of the second couple was relatively more interesting than the main leads, which is what every comment says from what Ive seen, but that doesn't mean their story is actually interesting! The second female lead in the show was unnecessarily frustrating! She was kind of paradoxical for no good reason, and it didn't make sense what she did to her relationship with the second male lead. I think she should've broken the typical 'family is rich and famous and that's a huge hindrance if I try to get with a college student so I'll just admire him from afar' trope and shown that women can be successful even if they're dealing with (undeserved) public scrutiny on their relationship.
