Yeah. I thought the same. Future/eternal Lee Gon saved himself and gave the badge to younger self so it would point to Tae Eul instead of Luna. The show hasn't given any hint for time travel so I don't know too. Still waiting for explanation. In EP 1, LG with flower cloth and demon killing sword standing at the gate on Maximus. Four episodes are definitely not enough to develop the growing number of side characters lol when are they going to explain Lee Rim story? I still don’t understand his true motivation
i thought i am the only one who's still not getting Lee Lim's motive. things they still need to explain:
1. Shin Jae's story
2. Jo Yeong-Eun Sup swap/love stories
3. Lee fckin Lim's motive
4. the exponential increase of time stop - what does it mean for the story?
5. CCTV showing year 2022.
6. first opening scene in ep. 1 showing the interrogation of Lee Lim by Shin Jae and Tae Eul in the police station.
7. who's the one who saved young Lee Gon, and why that person has Tae Eul's ID?
8. Is Court Lady Noh originating from Korea an important part of the story?
9. PM's motives, actions and her doppelganger. did she travel to the other world by shaking hands with Lee Lim?
10. the space of the vacuum of no wind, sun and air where a day there is equal to 2 months in the outside world.
11. LUNA.

I see that most are confuse with lighting scar and LG tears when time stopped. I will explain from how I understanding. I could be wrong too. Koo Seo Ryung went to Korea and Jeong Tae-eul went to Corea at the same time after JTE collapsed. LG started counting time which means that time stopped. Before that Luna went to Korea when LG threw the King's ring away. Lee Lim stayed those whole time in Corea. Then, KSR went back to Corea and Lee Lim went to Korea to have a meal. xd 1. Luna went to Korea (when throwing King's ring) 2. KSR & JTE swap (when LG counting time in his room after JTE collapsed from poison) 3. KSR went back to Corea and LL to Korea ---------- np to Scar JTE & Luna, Jo Eun Sup & Jo Yeong, Noh Ok Nam If people from both world still exist or die naturally, no scar. KSR might have probably killed Koo Eun-a from Korea. She is just too greedy and what she has for LG is not love but greed too. Maybe, murder cause people by difference world will be curse with lighting scar. LL killed young LG in Korea. Well, complex story are good for binge watch to understand better. This could get popular later. Air time rating doesn't mean all. If the story is interesting and easy to follow, air time rating could be high. Have you seen 4.5k(4.6k soon) comments by episodes 10? LOL This show is not for all but the story sure is very interesting.
Well, I am still waiting for Vagabond Season 2 so If the remaining 6 episodes can't explain the story well, I would like The King Eternal Monarch season 2. I hope it doesn't rush up. Personally, I like Vagabond more than While you were sleeping by Suzy.

There are 6 episodes left so I think I can hope for epic ending as there are still many things left to explain. e.g. Lee Gon can vanish now? Most k-drama drag on from episode 11 because there is nothing much to explain anymore.
Kim Kyung Nam has been so annoying for episode 9 & 10. Causing trouble or blaming to other just because he couldn't accept that he is from another world. Maybe he did it to protect his mum but that's too much. Anyway, good thing that he got his senses back before episode 10 ending.
You might get bore if you are only looking for main leads. But if you look carefully, you could see that all the crimes and supporting roles are connected to the main story. Mysteries are revealing bits by bits but still hard to understand some parts. I think that is what make a story interesting. It kind of revealed about 50% or more? Well, It is at episode 8 which is half of 16 so they probably revealed that much. Anyway, it is becoming better and better because it makes more sense than before. Can't wait for more episodes to know the full story.

Stop whining about characters chemistry/relationship. Focus on plot, two worlds and mystery pieces. Then, you will know how amazing this drama is. Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun are amazing. Open your eyes!
The reasons for less chemistry. It is not bad but realistic imo. JTE: She is not feminine, lieutenant and a little boyish. She found LG interesting cuz of his craziness and handsomeness. But her job is more important right now and she needed to know his identity. From ep 1-4, you can see that she care for him but not so much. Then, she went into his world and experience his world and she got to understand how lonely he would be in her world. For the kiss scene in ep 5, she just let him cuz she didn't want to cause trouble in the palace. She could slap him if she wanted but it could alert guards and grandma. She knew LG would not mind the slap. The kiss is also more like a long peck on the lip. She was the one who asked the question first about dating also. She was alone and her opponent is the king. She is also 30 years old so I don't think she mind too. LG has been hitting on her from the start so even a strong woman like her might not be able to resist. What is LG missing that any women won't like? LG care for her, love her, has skills and wealth. She is not totally in love yet but she has started to like him up to some degree and miss him when he is not near her or in her world. This drama doesn't drag on like other drama which they keep pretending to be friend up to 6/8/10 episodes. LG showed that he liked her from the start without pretend or lie. He doesn't even need to confess to show that. He sure is honest and brave man. I believe that more chemistry between leads will be shown later. So, don't blame Kim Eun Sook. There are still 10 episodes left. Can't wait for next episode.
