When I saw that livestream I had to stop myself from throwing a rock at my TV. I figured out long ago she just knocks off what is being said on Weibo and Douban with no view of her own, hence her inconsistency. She has some strengths - she knows her literature, language and culture. As much as I had concerns about her, I admit she did a decent job with a lot of the WOH stuff. And I have no problem with her making a living we all have to. What I found disgraceful was how after making lots of money on this show, how quickly she turned on both actors. To the point of reporting supporters on the Chinese site and saying one thing in Chinese and another in English... as someone else posted on her YouTube many, many many of us are fluent in both languages and we know what she did... Let us just hope karma doesn't take too long.,.

This is the first drama I have watched at 2.0 speed in a very long time where I still can follow what they are saying. In fact I feel like they actually filmed at 1.25x speed and slowed to 1.0x to air. Its the optimal speed to air bc RJL sigh is not obvious at that pace.
From an european point of view, the relationship in this story is puzzling and unreal.If it may be understandable…

I definitely agree! I mentioned at the first 6 episodes about ZSC in the novel and ZSC in the drama being a tad…
I don't mind them changing the characters a bit in drama adaptations as long as they make sense. Like Shiyi past and present is far less docile than the novel which I like. But to a lesser extent Shiyi and to a larger extent ZSC of the future is not a convincing reincarnation of the past. So as this progresses, I am not watching a convincing portrayal of Shiyi and ZSC from the past get to live out their lives together in the future. They could be completely different people and on many levels thy are not convincing as a couple. I don't think its just about whether they kiss. The issue is RJL cannot forget he is RJL a happily married man and assume the persona of ZSC who is falling for Shiyi. He keeps holding himself back and it shows so he is not in character most of the time. It is becoming boring and frustrating.

I think so far no one can match Allen Ren's chemistry with Seven Tan as Female lead, after I watched Allen's dramas…
In some ways I prefer UTP chemistry. It feels much more hot or passionate (so far). This is more like soul mates for sure but it feels not as physical... Whereas Xu Kai and Bai Lu sizzle in an entirely different way.
I love how the development of the relationship for both ZSC and SY. The time they spent together and am so glad…
Sorry the actor is hot pony tail and all but I will never forgive him. And tonight's punishment was like beating him with a feather, like universe doesn't understand what justice means. Don't ever forget what he did to ZSC and Shiyi. Love is NOT an excuse to do that to anyone.
Too many people complain because they do not do 2 & 3 & 4
I think any decent drama can withstand constructive criticism. I have done 2/3rds of 1 and 2, 3, 4 and 5 and I still think there are issues with this drama. Even masterpieces (which we all know this is far from) have flaws. I am happy people are expressing their real reactions to this and IMHO they are not less valid because they didn't do 1,2,3,4 and 5.
