Oh no, that is not good to hear... I will give it a few more for lack of anything else to watch while waiting for The Long Ballad. The plot is seems ok its just the dialogue and the characters....

The script and the characterisations are not good. Its a pity bc I like everything else and especially the martial arts. But I am not sure that's gonna be enough to make me keep going.

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
I had always thought that we would have a happy ending for the main couple but now, with the last clip released,…
I try not always successfully to avoid trailers, they are meant to create anxiety and mislead us along the way. My guess is Ashile Sun leaves the grasslands (his Eagle troop is disbanded anyway and Eagle troop teqin in no more) and returns to team up with Li Jing in service of Li Shimin, who is possibly Changge's father and a great Tang emperor. In history there was at least one Ashina general who served Taizong and married Tang princesses/nobility. And since Ashile Sun is originally from the central plains anyway he is just going home to his own people. The great Khan does not deserve a warrior like him, he is just using him to sharpen his own heir She'er he has no intention of ever letting a central plains person inherit no matter how capable he is.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I know, not a Taoist concept but maybe it should be.

Can somebody tell me what is TAO exactly mean? The conversation about tao in the drama is very interesting and…
That is a very big question. Tao (道; dào) which literally means "way" or the path, is the cornerstone of Taoism and is a life philosophy that defies description and conceptualization. It has a lot to do with the natural order of the universe and is a wisdom acquired over time and with life experience. In the context of this drama, we see all the main characters on a journey of discovery of their own moral conviction and life philosophy. The painting that Changge spends a lot of time staring at wúwéi/无为 or 無為 in traditional characters is one of the most important related Taoist concepts. It means do nothing or inaction or let things take their own course. It often means different things in different contexts and is often also used to indicate futility or pointlessness of certain actions or people. You have to decide for yourself after everything Changge did to intervene or take action, why these words inaction caused her to reflect so deeply.
That is the best simple explanation I can give on this very abstruse concept as I am no expert in Taoism so others may be able to better summarize it.

Just curious about what is actually happening to Zhao Lusi ? I heard she is getting hatred for this drama? What…
To be honest, I was not a huge fan of either actress before this drama. I had to drop every drama that Dilraba was FL in and I was really seething at Lusi for crashing and burning in the ending episodes of Love of Thousand Years. I only watched this because of Wu Lei. But they have both redeemed themselves a lot - I am quite impressed by Dilraba's acting here and Lusi is no longer on my avoid list even though I can't say I will seek her out actively in the future. I guess the script and directing makes such a huge difference and hopefully c-drama will start writing female characters to be less whiny and lame going forward.

They can’t take out the nut, I think of it a beloved character now ^-^. I am just waiting for it to pop in randomly.
LOL - I am quite sure if they ask Youku for curtesy tickets, they can get some. But it is very smart of them to try via normal channel and fail just to remind the fans they sponsored the show. Its good publicity and smart business. They are a very profitable and well known company and an important advertising client across many of Alibaba's platforms beyond Youku. They do deserve to be supported and praised for supporting this show when no one else did.

1. Can it go to Netflix since it’s on Amazon Prime?2. Are you talking about Wolong Nuts?
Content licensing can be complicated. It boils down to whether Amazon paid for exclusive US rights and if so, for what period; ie during airing only or for several months/years. In this case I suspect they don’t have exclusive rights bc Youku YouTube accessis not restricted in the US. That however could be because Youku specifically carved it out and Amazon didn’t care bc Youku doesn’t have a big footprint in the us. I believe Netflix had exclusive rights to the Untamed initially but the exclusive period since expired, allowing Tencent to license it to more distributors.

Exactly... I love the way they talk to each other like there is another conversation going on between them that we can't hear. In any case, when two people are in love no one bothers to count who has the advantage of the other.
