I think they are going for a title that emphasises that it is a story about the FL, Wang Xuan. All the other titles suggest a broader meaning. I like Ode to Shangyang personally and Monarch Industry is also decent but I can see how Rebel Princess is more "sexy" to more Westernized audiences.

Its still 上阳赋 on my Youku but China Zone and Viki are both calling it Rebel Princess in English.

Heheh and you can ping me also... but I doubt you need much help, it is not like Advisors Alliance or Royal Nirvana etc that has many literary and other allusions and metaphors. Its actually a fairly straightforward story from what I can tell of the first 20 or so episodes of the novel that I read.

Fingers crossed Viki will be at most a week behind. Actually the level of language is not that difficult or heavily classical if you have some basic understanding you should be able to follow well enough.

Well you should read @Skibbies critical review and then one of the others. I enjoyed it a lot even though the role of Qin Shi Huang was miscast because of the other pivotal characters. If you are very knowledgeable, you may like @Skibbies have a lot of fault to find with it but if you only know a bit but not a lot (like me), you will still find it very interesting.
