Yeah - I think its also hard to watch while airing - I tend to get frustrated more easily and especially when waiting for episodes while the good guys are struggling. That doesn't excuse the issues with writing etc.

The thing is their dads are political rivals so Chengjun was never gonna go for her. Especially when marriages are often arranged among the nobility for political alliances.

To have Zijin be the one to take down Leqing. To have Lige do it is too cliche and you could argue Leqing does have some gripe against Lige in that she stole her family and intended (yes in her warped mind no doubt). But Zijin never did her any harm and she killed the love of her life - she deserves to have the satisfaction of killing Leqing dead.
