Seriously... I don;t need another love interest because they are mostly either creepy/cheesy/both and definitely not this drama's forte... Huge sigh!!!
Really! Drama after drama it seems China is competing with its self to set romance back to the stone ages.
Heheh... I think no one will ever be able to convince me Chinese invented kissing. I think it is entirely possible they just didn't do it so I console myself this could be historically accurate.... ts ok, I can live with them just acting like a couple that is very into each other...
I don't like Historical drama in this half bald era... =(
It is one of the greatest atrocities in history. Our gorgeous Chinese men get saddled with the most unattractive hairstyle in the history of mankind by a bunch of Ching dynasty peasents.
Hello stranger!!! So good to c u here!!! Which episode are you on? I agree with your general sentiment.
I dropped MRIAD but I loved WB. The Eight was excellent! Maybe try In A Class of Her Own. Its making me laugh as hard as RN made me cry!!! I got so tired of waiting for Monarch Industry I am halfway through the book already I think I may not watch it when it finally (someday?) airs...
Oh wow this is very good but I don't know if I am gonna be able to finish this. First two episodes already has me tearing up. The problem with heroes is they tend to die young.
I love Wang Zi Jin. Not many girls dare to defy their fathers like that. She has a mind of her own and how she…
No that is her title - she is royalty her father is the brother of Emperor Shao of Jing province who was deposed by Emperor Wen.It is why Shen family are commoners and not initally deemed of high enough stature to marry her. I think this is set during the period where Emperor Wen sent his brother Liu Yikang to govern Jing province on his behalf. Because the Xie family were governors of that province that were also sidelined or made less powerful. That is also why the emperor is not in the picture and the aristocrats in the show are so rebellious and defiant. They were conquered by Liu Yikang/Pengcheng Wang's brother. This is just me guessing I have not read that much about this period in Chinese history and the drama is ambiguous about time and place and loose with some facts. But it makes sense why both brothers are seeking marriage alliances with the important families of this province that they essentially conquered. It also makes some of the actions of people like Xie and Lu Yuan and even Zijin's father's defiance make more sense.
I should've taken notes when they were talking about the thunder stuffs because I'm officially lost. So according…
I found Uncle 2 to be a subtle obstructionist from the start. He didn't want Wu Xie to unravel the mystery of Uncle 3's disappearance and he keeps doing these little things to sideline him including preventing him from going Thunder City. Just not sure if he is doing this to protect him or because he did something bad. Like you, I have lost track of many details. I blame the filler heavy mute gal/keanu arcs - they take too long with little incremental helpful information. I end up walking around/doing random stuff while its playing and end up missing some of the important details when it switches back to the 3 amigos.

She is another great character in this show. The way she traumatized the Consort Sun to wiggle out of marriage to Jingling cracked me up. Wish they gave her more airtime.
