My need is more basic I am just bored to death with this lock down and I need to be entertained and kept out of my helper's hair. Because if I don't stop traumatizing her with experiments with fresh pasta, making sourdough etc etc etc she will soon kill me dead. My gravestone will read "It was the helper in the kitchen with a knife". So at this point I am pretty much up for watching anything except horror.

Currently airing In A Class of Her Own is very funny and there are three hot men in it.

I am with you on the pigtails it is a big drawback but I did love all the Once Upon a Time in China movies nonetheless. Watch at least until the FL appears (ep 2 or 3) and then drop it if you can't get past the hair.

Thanks for this - I agree he must be a fictional character/son of Xie Hui because I think drama takes place in Jing before Pengcheng became prime minister but by then Xie Hui and all his male relatives were executed. The part about one of them being to fat to ride a horse to escape cracked me up!

I actually like this actor more than Jet LI (I know, I deserve to rot in hell) but he is my more favorite Wang Feihung.

Indeed we will never know.... I hate harem dramas nothing sends me running for the hills faster but I know some of the plots are truly diabolical and ingenious... I just think it is so wasted because social restrictions forced women to turn against each other but when push came to shove they were pretty damn good at it. Maybe all that negative energy could have been put to doing a greater good.... But it is what it is, we will never know what might have been.

Couldn't agree more the pigtail is one of history's great atrocities inflicted on Han Chinese by the Qing peasents... I watched it to pass time bc I am bored to tears. And unexpectedly it made me tear up from the first episode. Now it is the one I keep checking anxiously to see whether the next episodes have dropped.

I have a bad feeling the story may have peaked already. Jing Ling can step up and be a great villain but I really hope not bc it will break my heart. I think Princess Consort for sure - she makes me sad, no woman should sit around painting pictures of a man that doesn't love her no matter how great a guy he is. And of course don't forget Zijin's dad... I do think Xie is also an unresolved problem but hope that they can make him grey and someone Pengcheng wang wins over rather than the normal villain.

I actually like her more than Thatcher. She is the only real world leader of any substance today and I just love it when glowers disapprovingly at Putin/Trump/Macron whoever... Seriously if looks could kill!!!

Its the drama Zhang Ziyi really wanted to be in, she lobbied hard for the lead role. And its a strong FL. I really hope it comes this year but now I read half the book already... You should also check out Heroes - I started it out of boredom but it is so good and I am tearing up at every episode.

I love her!!! She constantly makes me roll with laughter there are so many great shots of her expressions on FT and other newspapers! There is a famous G-7 one where she stares down Trump its one of my all time favorites!

Lemme just say that his role in the Bad Kid is arguably much more uncomfortable and far from a positive image than playing a couple that do normal couple things like kiss...

That is definitely the case for Under the Power but the last two dramas I saw him in I felt almost no couple chemistry. But I agree that it is not really about whether they smooch or not.
