Translations of this show is quite bad. If you first watch it without reading the synopsis you can be easily misled…
No it was about Pengcheng dying. I can't tell for sure, but I suspect we don't see the emperor because they are not in the capital. Before Pengcheng was promoted to prime minister he governed a very important province for his brother and did a great job there. I suspect that is when this is set but its just a guess, the drama doesn't say. Other shows translate wang (王) as prince - like NIF2 Xiao Tingsheng or Changlin Wang was translated as Prince of Changlin. I think that makes more sense and is less confusing but its the translator's preference.

Title The Song of Glory Spoiler
Almost all Chinese dramas tend to have female antagonists like this - overly obsessive with the male leads and…
That's kind of my point though. The writers are addicted to having a clche deranged woman in the story. So if they kill Leqing they will just replace her with another by say making Princess Consort turn evil. It was the same in Weiyoung... just one sweet faced b*tch from hell after another.

I totally agree. This is one character we didn't really need to see so much of in this drama and now that they killed her off I am quite sure they will just turn the Princess Consort into another Leqing.

I'm someone who agrees with AvenueX 90% of the time bc I always see those honest silly tropes too. I'm putting…
I don't think I will rate this super high either because of the cliches and the logic and other problems that are well discussed on this site already. The thing is, the fans already know it and acknowledge it. These common tropes are used so often because many times they also happen to work and in this case, they kind of do so there is a high enjoyment factor and the drama can get away with a lot of nonsense most people won't tolerate in another drama. It has an X-factor that AvenueX (with emphasis on the X) seems to have missed.

I think Yuexuan is my favorite. He is so deliciously wicked and he is the smartest one he has already busted her. Zexin is too immature and rebellious for me.

Mind you, the evil sister may have saved Peng Cheng Wang. So she's still valuable.
Lige played her perfectly.

Just remember this: no matter how evil the evil sister is, all she wants is just her man, that is. Pretty simple…
I am sorry but going off the cliff is letting her off too lightly. And she is delusional - he doesn't even know she is alive.

Duuuudeeee!!!!! the biggest satisfaction of the drama, to know that Lu Yuan has indirectly saved Li Ge with that…
I wouldn't even roll my eyes if they have him dying and needs that to live only to discover she gave it to Lige.

1) Xie Yun Zhi, the Princess Consort, is one of my favorite characters. Her love for Peng Cheng/Yi Kang is pure…
Sadly I think they will turn her into a jealous evil woman.

I watch her videos alot but she is not objective at all if a drama dont meet her expectations then she kills it…
I love her videos when she liked the drama and she actually watched it - so many good ones from Winter Begonia to the Bad Kids. But she recently became very money minded and makes stupid videos about dramas she obviously didn't watch. And its so obvious. This one wasn't that bad, at least I feel she watched a bit. But ATWIL was just terrible - it was a terrible drama that she didn't watch but jumped on the hater bandwagon. And she tried to copy Quippe Quest but she doesn't have the same sense of humor. I was very disappointed and disgusted.

Just watched AvenueX's thoughts on this. How are y'all liking this so far? Really good? Or frustrating? I am looking…
Its full of cliches but still very enjoyable. The main characters are great, you would root for them and the villains are just hateful. This is one where you shouldn't look too hard. As for AvenueX, if I listened to her, I would never have watched some of my favorite dramas. And while I agree with maybe 30 secs of her review, it is manifestly obvious to me this is one more (of many) she trashed without watching. Do yourself a huge favor and watch and decide for yourself.

You probably have location services turned on in your device. Sometimes the VPN can't fool it when that happens.

Do you mean Yi Kang? Technically, he *is* just a prince. His sickly, (unseen) older brother is the emperor. Some…
From memory, what Yixuan's mother said is that the emperor (their brother) delegates a lot of his responsibilities to Yikang. If anything happens to Yikang, Yixuan would naturally inherit those responsibilities (and power). I don't have any subtitles switched on so I don't know how it was translated into English.

The emperor is huang di (皇帝) in Chinese which is higher in hierachy to wang (王). They are all sons of Emperor Wu who is dead and the current emperor is Emperor Wen, Yikang/Pengcheng and Yixuan/Jingling's brother. Its technically not correct to call him Prince Pengcheng because he is actually the brother and not the son of the sitting Emperor. So they translate it as King Pengcheng which can be confusing but for Chinese speakers, there is no mistake whatsoever that he is not the emperor (or the crown prince).

Technically king may sometimes be an accurate translation because in a feudal empire there are kings of the various kingdoms but they are still subjects of (and often related to ) the emperor who presides over the whole empire but the kings have their own little fiefdoms. In this case, though wikipedia specifically describes Pengcheng and Jingling as a princes so the translator didn't bother to do much research but it is not exactly incorrect either.

Edit: In this case since Pengcheng's father is dead and the sitting emperor is his brother, there is a good case to translate wang 王 as king and not prince because he is the emperor's brother and not his son, as prince would imply.

watched 8 episode. you can watch here eng sub. https://kshows.to/videos/in-a-class-of-her-own-2020-episode-8Anyone…
Actually all the characters in the drmaa constantly acknowledge she is very pretty for a boy and weak and girlie. And I think Yuexuan has pretty much already figured it out. So they are not exactly writing her as. a tomboy or a very masculine looking girl.
