I did wonder why that old dude Mo was always underfoot but never in my wildest imagination...
Throughout he was kind of hovering in the background. I thought he was just part of the town people.

No it’s the ship the Pilgrims went to America on.

Thx for the review. I skipped this bc I am so tired of xianxias. But good to know you enjoyed this. The outfits did look really nice.

When she finally had the talk with her mom, then I understood why she did what she did. Huazi is so much like…
I am glad his mom did the right thing. And in the end even XC recognized that if anyone could have saved HZ, it was WH. I still don't like that HZ didn't fight for herself and that WH had to make her. But its ok, I guess everyone has flaws.

I’ve just seen ep 35 & honestly I understand WH’s mum - she’s right when she said “no mother would want…
I understand WH's mom too but its too late. They already love each other and whether or not he marries her, he is not going to abandon her. She should be gracious and supportive bc if Huazi lives, she will remember what her mother in law law's attitude in her time of need. And from a practical POV if they goes to Beijing for treatment, he will be empowered to make medical decisions for her if he were her husband.

I feel really bad for Wanghe. He seems to be getting alot of hate with whatever he do. He's more mature and has…
He does have a pretty face but for some reason now I just find it super annoying.

I rated it 7.5 bc it took me more than a month after it finished airing to complete it. I totally lost interest…
I was bored enough with the topic in the drama I saw no need to belabor it further. I also didn't want to spoil the plot so only allude to it in passing but the title to my review is a metaphysical question. The CGI was not horrible but it was standard xianxia CGI and not at all what I would call beautiful.

His skull is so thick that nothing penetrates. Wanghe asked him whether he thinks he can give Huazi the kind of life she deserves and clearly the answer is NO but he still thinks he's the better guy. If Huazi gives him the time in the day, the tumor must really have fried her brain.

That's the reality of China though, and to a degree in other parts of the world. XWH is actually more moral than…
the government and their failure to mandate social security, insurance and workplace safety regulations. Then the companies all have no choice but to abide by those requirements and can compete with each other within those guidelines. That is actually how it played out/is still playing out at the moment. And even after that they are still are super impressive, I can get my lunch order in under 20 minutes if I order before noon and under 30 minutes if I order after that.

I knew he was a fool that was all heart and no brain. The kind that talks big and sounds righteous but would never amount to anything when he blew himself up right before gao kao to spite his father. And now he thinks he is going home to take care of Huazi. That just floored me!

In general I don't condone violence but I have to admit I wish Wanghe walloped him harder. It was long overdue and very satisfying for me. And Xingchi could have but he didn't really fight back bc he knew in his heart he was a total dick and he deserved it.

2nd ML has idealistic dreams but tbh, I still agree with him. I know making money and having loyal customers is…
I understand what you are saying but China has a population of 1.5 bn people all fighting for not that big of an economic pie. Its a huge economy in aggregate but everyone's share then was tiny and even today is still very small. Making a living there is really hard. Tbh I don't like Xingchi at all. He has no plan and blows himself up every time bc Wanghe and the rest of his buddies spoil him and keep bailing him out over and over again. He is self destructive, ungrateful and the only thing he is really good at is being a humanitarian with other people's money.

That's the problem with c-dramas. They hook you in and then spam you with filler.

"Wang Duo is definitely a scene stealer but even I got a little bored of him in the second half when the pace is slow. "
Yes I was also surprised to find WD so boring. His dialogue had way too much proselytizing!
