So into her, she can do whatever the hell she wants. And she is testing him, seeing how far he will indulge her. To be honest, that makes me a tad bit irritated at her.

Yanxi Palace was very sad. Bc I was in the camp that WYL's true love was Fucha Fuheng. But she was the ultimate survivor - she never even allowed herself to mourn him but went on to live her best life anyway.

The shameless, thick skinned villain Liu Xueyi played so deliciously in Love and Redemption. A villain that was able to turn every rejection into encouragement. I saw Hao Chen rear his ugly head again and I loved it!

I think there is some kind of hint that has to do with her name as well. I don't know my plants well but that flower she likes so much is kind of untidy and not what you would expect of an orchid with a few wide leaves. The Jialan/嘉兰 in her name Shen Jialan/沈嘉兰is also the name of a flower and I wonder if it is the specific name of that plant she likes so much. Maybe that is how he figures it out eventually that Lanxiang is actually Jialan. Although when I checked apparently the Jialan flower has no fragrance. I also discovered that Lanxiang/兰香 was how ancient Chinese referred to basil/ 罗勒.

In story of Yanxi palace they did try to show them walking awkwardly on very small raised shoes or needing to be carried around everywhere in the palace.
