Yups, that Qing Yan. And Murong Jinghe is the one that marries Mei Lin to him. I think in the drama plot Yue Qin just takes Qing Yan's place in this matter.
Murong Xuanlie is dead. Now it is Yue Qin's arc. Obviously to have peace between the countries, his path to ascend…
Nah, he is not going to go evil I have no idea where that speculation comes from. The entire reason the Dayan king elevated him is he knows he is strategic enough to win the throne but innately good. He wants peace between Dayan and Xiyan after so many years of countless wars. But there are many princes scheming against him. Since Zigu and Yue Qin helped Mei Lin (and Jinghe) a lot, she/they are simply returning the favor by helping clear the path for him to the Xiyan throne. Remember he was a hostage prince for years. He has no real power base in Xiyan even though he is now the CP. So going home will be very dangerous for him, his many brothers and or other political factions will defiitely try to kill him.

Well idk if it is going to happen or not but in the novel she married someone else first (Qing Yan) in name and then divorced him and reunited with Jinghe.
So Murong Xuanlie had a easy death but I still don’t believe that he is really death. I mean what would happen…
Murong Xuanlie is dead. Now it is Yue Qin's arc. Obviously to have peace between the countries, his path to ascend the throne has to be cleared. It is going to be all about that.
In ep.23 ML woke up in YQ's carriage and rushed back on horseback by herself and so did she actually get to MRJH's…
Yes she did go back to make sure Jinghe is alright. But she had to leave to help Yue Qin bc he can't show up in Xiyan without his saintess bride. There were bad edits, some parts were clearly omitted so it seems poorly explained.
I thought Luomei was faking CP by pretending to be in love, It turns out she really fell in Love with CP. woah…
She was there to execute him but they grew up together so she definitely has deep affection for both brothers. It was just a make believe scene where she was indulging his last fantasy of marrying her. IMHO it was just a last act of kindness to an old friend who loved her and someone she was at one point reconciled to marrying. Of course she feels sad but I am not sure that she is truly that heartbroken.
The previews suggest that the absurd wedding between Mei Lin and Prince Yue Qin will not happen after all. We…
Its already explained its a marriage of convenience. Yue Qin helped her escape the capital by taking her as his saintess bride. But they have to go through with it bc he still has to be accountable to his father the Xiyan king. She has become a parallel character to Zigu, a tribute bride to keep the peace but its a marriage in name. And both bridegrooms have promised to set them free as soon as possible.
I’m at ep12 and so far I like this drama although I must admit I’m not a fan of the romantic music and slow…
To some extent it is the FL's natural voice. Ren Min is quite soft spoken. But I have watched her in other dramas where she voices herself and doesn't deliberately try to sound so childish so I know on some level it is also how she chose to interpret the role.
Yeah unfortunately this happens on a regular basis and beyond gentle reminders, there is little else that can…
Trust me, there are those who thrive on spoiling other people. No matter how many times and how politely you tell them they will do it anyway. I just scroll past them and stay away from the thread the moment the express episodes drop.
The one who died is from the first household and he was the eldest. The children are numbered by birth order and…
No, far from it. Ancient China was very patriarchal and feudal about the sons and the number of sons and their order. So the form of address for my father's brothers are even distinguish by whether they are older (伯) or younger (叔) than my dad. But for his sisters and for my mother's siblings whether they are older or younger doesn't matter bc the woman's side is just not that important. All the older HK/Taiwanese dramas follow the actual practice, this is a recent innovation of c-dramas. But I am fine with it bc it makes it easier.

Yes I noticed in more and more c-dramas nowadays they don't distinguish between the genders. It makes sense bc it makes the order much more clear and simple for viewing audiences. But it is not accurate in practice- even into today times. In both my parent's families the order of address for the sons and daughters in each generation are still separated by gender.
There was love, but it was a weak one. Lu Jia Xue and Yi Ning were both young and at their lowest point, so at…
Well that's not ideal bc she will always feel she owed him. But if that makes him dead anyway, I am A-ok with it. I'd be much happier if he is just executed for his crimes or if LSY kills him to avenge his shifu and his fraternal bros.
