Idk I didn't see the press conference but in the pix Gao Weiguang looks pretty shocked so I think ZYW probably did say something that raised eyebrows that he may have backtracked from later.

Yes he actually did do a really good job as Guo Jing - he won prestigious awards for it. I think he also can play Yang Kang and Yang Guo well. Very versatile actor.

I think Yang Guo is not that difficult a role to cast - Yang Yang would probably be my top choice. But tbh Cheng Yi, Deng Wei, Yang Xuwen etc would do as well.
