Its a strange MDL rule, I have argued with them before about this and am not going to waste time trying to do it again. But the Chinese sites Douban and Baidu all consider the whole series 1 drama with 60 episodes. As far as I am concerned I am going to mark it as only 1 drama on my Completed List.

In the original novel Yang Guo is not even Mu Nianci's son. He is the son of someone YK raped. I believe in subsequent revisions Jin Yong combined the two women into Mu Nianci.

The entire Yang Kang arc is a huge let down in this version. Wangyan Honglie was somewhat empathetic also in the 1983 version and I am quite sure his prophetic words to Guo Jing that Genghis Khan will eventually attack Song is accurate.

#1 Yes in the 1983 YK pretty much dies like that but it drags out a bit longer. #2. No YK never killed his adoptive father. Guo Jing actually does it. By then YK is dead. YK did kill a different Jin commander or something that they caught earlier on. The guy that led the army to Niujia village to kill their parents.
