I think she did a really good job explaining Chinese language and culture in her early videos and she clearly has an edge there. Idk what made her think her edge extends to other genres, including ones that she obviously doesn't enjoy watching. Now it seems her whole business is to barely watch shows she doesn't like so she can make nasty rant videos. I do feel a bit sorry for her if she doesn't enjoy what she is watching and just doing it as a job. I only watch stuff I really want to watch I can't imagine trying to watch stuff I don't like.

I am falling behind I have social commitments again tonight. Will catch up over the weekend.... By then I wonder who will still be alive??? 😂😂😂

I haven’t rated it but I think it’s so far not as good as the 2017 version which is rated 8.0 on both MDL and Douban. It’s a good story,; one of the best wuxias ever written but so far this adaptation is just not doing justice to the amazing and complex characters Jin Yong wrote.

He is not bad but his Guo Jing is too smart. He would have made a much better Yang Kang. And I don’t like how they have piled on layers of clothes on him to make him seem bulkier. It makes his head look very small.

Yups - she missed half the clues in The Bad Kids and it was obvious from her review that she didn't really get most of it. I recall she made more than one video yet she missed some pretty big stuff. Her explanations were so clumsy I laughed and wondered whether we watched the same drama. Even the MDL thread had much better fan analysis of what really went down. It was clear she just didn't get it at all. I didn't watch her review for this drama bc I boycotted her after ZZH but my friend told me she just rambled incoherently like someone who didn't know what they were talking about...

I don’t watch her for years but I remember form her bad kids review she is dreadful at reviewing suspense. I say this as a hard core mystery buff in the kindest way possible.

The calendar reflects the SVIP schedule which is 1 episode ahead of normal VIP. It is correct up to ep 6 is out as of yesterday.

Yes its still airing. Its written by the same novelist and the ML is the same archetype so you will probably enjoy it too.

Its come up in the discussion bc she isn't on any of the cast lists. But I thought I saw a flash of someone who could be her in a trailer and I agree, the desert arc can't be entirely skipped bc they go back there later on in the story anyway.
