I normally love good villains and LXY was my favorite character in L&O. I also love the second prince in JOL. But that is only bc in the end, the leads always prevail. I think even though the villain didn't win in O&O, the leads still definitely lost. But he is a good actor and I will get over it. Esp if I get to watch him suffer a lot. Bc I am petty like that.😅😂

The Qing dynasty got rid of this system bc they found that the system favored rote memorization and literary skills over practical knowledge and resulted in government officials that were too rigid but with no practical skills or knowledge and not open to modernization and science and technology. Sound familiar?
