Are there Agatha Christie adaptations you’d recommend?
I think the 2015 BBC adaptation of "And Then There Were None" is quite good. As is Peter Usinov's Evil Under the Sun. Miss Marple (BBC) and Agatha Christie's Poirot series are very famous but they are super old I never watched them. As for the recent Kenneth Branagh ones, Murder on the Orient Express is probably best. A Haunting in Venice was ok it seemed more like a horror movie than a mystery. I didn't really like his version of Death on the Nile but it was not terrible.

Yeah he has a huge harem and it’s unapologetically politically incorrect. I think most of the other ones age quite well but of course some aspects have to be watered down. Tencent is remaking Jin Yong's most famous series. It should come soon after JOL2 - The Legend of Heroes.

Yes of course but usually that happens to actors who use friends and family to manage them and not professional agencies. Not saying its impossible but it is less likely. One of the actors they replaced would have been high risk but he is gone.

I am fine with harem stories and have no issue with them in general if they are set in ancient times. I think the problem with it in JOL is FX is a character from our times so he is expected to act within today standards. Most cdrama watchers are women so I think it’s safe to say they will keep FX monogamous. But tbh I personally wouldn’t have minded if he had more than one lover as long as they are not at the same time.
