I actually only read the first 3 books, a few years before they made the drama. I didn't continue with the rest bc my work became very busy and then they started making the TV series so I didn't bother to pick it up again.
Yes both parts are already filmed. Its just a matter of when they launch Part 2. I think it has to be 6-12 months…
I am not sure how a Western xuanhuan is deemed so culturally important that it can bend all the rules. But in any case, the other issue is Tencent holds the IP and they will not allow the live action Part 2 to air before their Donghua Part 2 goes ahead. If you recall, Tencent was the hold up for Part 1 airing. But regardless, I would rather you be right about a June air date than not.

I mean to check out Burning Flames and In Blossom but neither look like good productions to me. I will watch the less bad one on the treadmill. Shen Li should be a decent watch, at least it had a big budget.
