I have many friends who have eyes like that too. They are long term users of Latisse. It's a known side effect.
I used it for awhile too - it really works. I had crazy gorgeous long lashes upper and lower lid but my eyes looked red around the rims all the time. I am not saying that is what she uses but it looks similar to mine and lots of my friends who do use it still.

I would guess it's the same voice actor for Shen Li? That would be Lu Xiran who just dubbed Lin Xiujia in Eternal Brotherhood. She was also Zhao Lusi's voice dubber in both The Long Ballad and Who Rules the World. Lin Gengxin is being dubbed by Bian Jiang who also dubbed him in The Princess Agents.

The company that owns the production studio is a listed company called China Literature that I cover for work. They reported earnings tonight so I had to listen to the call.
Both Tencent and China Literature are publicly listed companies in HK. Tencent owns 56pct of China Literature and China Literature owns 100pct of New Classics Media which is the production studio that produced Shen Li. I was on China Literature's call, it just finished. iQiyi is also a publicly listed company and so is Alibaba (owns Youku). You can invest through any of these companies. I don't really recommend however as c-dramas don't make much money, they barely break even. The only people that make big money from dramas are the lead actors.
I haven't started watching this as I am on the producing studio's earnings call and they just updated investors that in 26 minutes of airing, Shen Li has already broken 25,000 on Tencent's heat index.

I think she has matured a bit, looks quite pretty here and even her acting is better. But every now and then she slips back to her cartoon cute expressions and it just throws me out of the moment. I just try not to focus on her. And I think its hilarious that every single feed post about this drama is about Liu Xueyi. By himself. Solo. Yups.

I actually don’t know I just was told history sort of repeats itself. So I assume if Di Lin is YMH he rebels and Si Yilin is GYX he remains loyal till the end. I don’t think they betray Xiu though bc he goes on to reunite the lands and unlike Canxing he is not a bad guy. But I am only guessing I haven’t read the books or spoilers.

The donghua should be 40+ episodes - it will take at least 2-3 months to air for non-VIP. Manga and anime is just Japanese cartoon and animation. Manhua and donghua is Chinese cartoon and animation.

I don't think anyone's fate will be changed. The IP is loved and if the brothers' stories are changed it would ruin the novel. According to my friend who is a huge fan of the story. Sometimes this kind of story is only a good story bc the heroes die and/or betray each other. They will get hate if they dare change something that critical. My friend did not watch the donghua she only read the books but she has heard that its consistent. And the donghua is incomplete. Only Book 1/Part 1 is out so far. But Part 2 is coming soon, my guess is June (for the donghua).

I believe that is the S2 preview. And it is not a good sign that the song is If Heaven Has Compassion, the Princess Weiyoung OST. It is a very sad song.

According to my friend who read the novels, Book 2 is a logical place to stop. It is mostly about Zichuan Xiu uniting Yuanzhou and becoming the King of Light and he should have a new love interest there as well. The last 3 books are about uniting the whole Zichuan which I think we won't see. The good news is the 2 bros probably die somewhere along the way but maybe not yet in Book 2 - she didn't spoil me on that so idk. It will not deviate that much from the novel though bc Tencent controls the IP and they are also doing the donghua adaptation. They won't allow iQiyi's live action to contradict the donghua in any substantive way. They were the ones who held back the live action to wait for the donghua. So I hope the live action S2 comes soon too but I am 100pct positive Tencent won't allow it to air before their donghua. Even if the censors say ok, which I also doubt. That is why Douban has it for 2025.

I believe iQiyi only acquired the rights to adapt the first 2 novels from Tencent so that is all we will get in the near future. They can't condense the whole thing bc they didn't buy all the rights. The Chinese title is consistent and follows the novels. There is always leeway in the English translation and that is why there are so many English versions.

I don't think so but I didn't read her posts bc of spoilers. Part 2 is already on Douban for 2025 as King of Light. The 3 Brothers of Purple River is an alternate title for Part 1, which is Book 1 of the novel as well. I prefer to call it the 3 Heroes of Light bc it is a closer translation of the Chinese title. King of Light is Book 2 of the novel. There are 5 books in total and most of them are about Zichuan Xiu.
