I don’t think so - both those dramas were romance dramas so you can’t just say sorry no kiss scenes. But clearly he could and did have the ability to insist on doing superficial ones. For burning flames I think it’s not primarily a romance drama so it doesn’t matter if he does them or not. There are lots of married actors that don’t like to do romance scenes - which is fine they just don’t take romance dramas. As for me personally if my hubby were an actor I wouldn’t care - it’s just a job. And after work those hot lips are mine

Yes it's true that some of the older productions were grandfathered but I think anything approved after the regulations were announced have to abide by those rules. So yeah, there is still some really old stuff that can circumvent that but even Lost You Forever which was filmed in 2022 was not able to get around it. And from what I understand LYF was a borderline case. They filmed after the 40 episode cap limit was announced but before the 12 month gap between Part 1 and Part 2 regulation was announced. But they still got caught by it. I think Eternal Brotherhood was filmed in 2021 maybe even before the 40 episode cap but I don't remember for sure. So yes, its possible they get grandfathered but from what I hear regulation is only getting tighter so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Idk I didn't watch the whole thing just parts of it with my mom who did and loved it. Its a tragedy and as you said its long but apparently Ren Jialun acted his heart out in it. I think its still not entirely subbed so most people didn't watch it.
