The top 100 drama is 8.7 and the top 200 is 8.5. This is among all the dramas on this site. So when I see an 8.0, I think it has to be at least good enough to check out.

Well according to my friend who read the books some time ago, the drama kind of skipped the first 2-3 books in terms of YX's and some of Yannan/s backstory. And both leads had past love interests who are also skipped. Looks like they will wrap up YX's revenge arc and the mystery of what is going on between the sects. She said one book is a pirate arc that it looks like they are skipping or can be a short S2 but its not needed to complete the story. She doesn't really remember Qi Tianfeng which is why I think his arc may be over. Maybe they will go back and make a prequel about the back stories with younger actors to play the leads.
