According to my iQiyi dictionary, "technical difficulties" is the same as "cancelled". Their last drama with "technical difficulties" was last year's A Love Never Lost which has since quietly dropped off their Coming Soon list. I was actually quite surprised to hear they were hoping to air this after what the third ML did. The regulator has made it unambiguously clear that actors are to be good role models and not make political statements so idk what the guy was thinking. But the whole thing died down enough that iQiyi thought they could get this out the door asap but unfortunately not fast enough. Unluckily for them, what that comedian did making fun of the army has once again raised regulatory scrutiny over celebrities and their conduct. Looks like this got caught in that backlash. Probably not the first or the last. As for Kunning Palace, IMHO they won't be able to air this unless they replace the actor's face or cut all his scenes. That's gonna take a long time and cost money.

For those interested, I saw online speculation that Prince Fu is written based on Zhu Chenhao, Prince Ning. His rebellion took place around the time of the Zhengde emperor who ascended the throne at age 14. Which ties to the drama narrative that the crown prince is very young. Prince Ning had 4 sons, none of whom survived:

Many of these older actors don't want to do the wire work and spinning around anymore. The risk of injury is high.

I suspected that at the beginning but abandoned the idea when NGF started to target the Kou kids.

It is just wild speculation bc of Prince Fu wanting to protect YX. It definitely suggests at the very least he is Yuntai sect master or controlling Yuntai in addition to Lingyuan. Prince Fu told his daughter he is rebelling in self defence but that is a lie, he was plotting to seize the throne for 15 years! A man who has no kids other than Mingzhu wants the throne makes no sense. More likely he hides his son(s) to protect his line in case he fails and only keeps his daughter by his side. But it's just speculation bc otherwise his motive to do this giant, 15 year very dangerous scheme seems incredibly weak. Its of course entirely possible its just another terribly written illogical plot!

Well when dead characters start popping up alive left and right, that is when a drama usually goes down the toilet so I hope not, as much as I liked Jin Biao.

Lingyuan is already pretty much wiped out - KYJ can be master of a sect of 6 people if it means that much to him! If Prince Fu is behind Yuntai as well then they are part of a rebellion. Participating in that kind of activity gets your line down to 9 generations executed. So I am not looking for either sect to survive. Best case YX starts a new Qian sect but that's about it and idk why he would do it. He was never into the sect, only revenge.

Don't see matricide or filicide here most likely YX or NGF takes KYJ out with some scheme. I don't think Lingyuan as a sect survives this showdown.

And it’s the same poison that Tang Xiao gave Tianhu too. I don’t like the turn this chapter took. Not that convinced YX needed to work with KYJ. And he knew he was treacherous and didn’t watch Jin Biao carefully enough. Both he and Yannan are so casual with his life. Also not sure what KYJ achieved out of betraying YX - he should have stuck with him to bring down NGF. Now I am going to be disappointed no matter what Yannan does bc KYJ is her bro but Jin Biao was her friend. Is she going to just let YX take him out or will she defend him?

Well he is the only one that can kill him bc if YX does it, it will be the end for him and Yannan.

Well until Prince Fu chastised NGF over YX, I also suspected NGF could be his son. Until he spoke to him like the hired help.

It doesn’t have to be YX but there has to be a son stashed somewhere. If he really only has a daughter his motive is not convincing. The closest a Princess ever got to the throne was Wu Tzetian’s daughter and in the end even she didn’t dare to put her there. Ming dynasty unlike Tang was very chauvinistic and restrictive towards women. Kou Yan’s preference for her son over her daughter to succeed is a case in point. And they are just a rebel sect not the imperial family.

I somehow still feel she is on YX side. But I feel they both threw poor Jin Bian under the bus.

1. Prince Fu and Yuntai master are the same OR they are brothers, maybe even twins.
2. Yun Xiang is Yuntai master/Prince Fu's son. Nobody rebels or tries to seize the throne unless they have a SON to leave it to. YX's ring is proof of his identity.
3. NGF is just a mole sent from Yuntai to take over management of Lingyuan from within. Prince Fu doesn't care about him; he is expendable.
