I suspected Yun Xiang of being the master but now that I hear his voice, I think he is someone else who hasn't appeared. Unless they "cheated" by using a different voice actor.

Unfortunately she is type-cast. I wish they would mix things up bc its kind of boring when you know what kind of role she plays already once you see her.

It's her area of specialisation. Once she pops up, I know she won't be able to keep her hands to herself.

Well it finished shooting in late 2017 and I don't think it has been sold to any platform yet. I know Yang Xuwen is trying to come back but so far only iQiyi seems to be backing him. Yi Zheng was the producer of Painting Jianghu, I doubt he will sell it at a cheap price/loss to iQiyi.

She hasn't appeared in a good costume drama for awhile due to sheer bad luck. She got great roles in both The Fated General and Painting Jianghu. But The Fated General will probably never see the light of day and Yang Xuwen is still trying to come back from his scandal so Painting Jianghu also has been stalled.

I suspect there may be something going on with the writing apparatus - in a casino the house always rigs the gadgets but hard to know exactly how. If Tang Xiao had chosen any of the other 3 words it would have been almost impossible to guess from counting strokes.

I think his arc is pretty much over. There are at least two big villains who have not shown themselves yet so there is limited time left for him.

Maybe he will reveal some things but I doubt he comes back as a threat - no money, no men, no martial arts. Seems beyond difficult.

I thought it was kind of funny in a very rude and mean way where he told the girl you are fat and would block the view well. I would have pretended it was taking me longer to spell the word so maybe he had some better more fool proof approach.

He's so far a very one dimensional villain which is kind of disappointing bc Qi Tianfeng was a very complex villain.

I think she may be trying too hard to look fierce and serious. Her natural expression is more sweet and non-threatening. I don't feel the romance either and am not invested in it bc I think love at first sight as a trope is hard to execute. But I like the mystery and suspense aspect of it.

Mo Bufan feels Nandu CC should be run by native Nandu people - code for Yuntai sect under appreciated him and should have chose him instead of Wen Cong to control the Nandu CC. And he has assassins working for him. I think Jin Biao is the only really good person among the 4 of them. I also wonder if Lingyuan is controlled by the court and if Tang Xiao can fight and how dangerous he really is? Is he a sheep in sheep's clothing or....???

The scene showing Yun Xiang on the unmanned boat is totally NIF. The big difference is Yun Xiang is not dying. It also didn't bother to invest in his sad backstory so I don't really empathise with what happened to him. Whereas NIF spends the first few episodes making you understand what he lost and why he must do what he must do.

There seems to be a lot of double crossing within sects so...

All Yun Xiang had to do was guess that a dumbass like Tang Xiao would choose the easiest character to write dong 冬 from spring, summer, autumn and winter.春夏秋冬. This was further validated by how quickly he wrote it (fewest brush strokes).
