I watched a few and dropped it. I usually drop Jin Yong's stories when they are adapted in Mandarin. The names just sound too wrong to me. The Andy Lau version is still my favorite.

I think Yuntai's teachings about wuqing/无情 or to be merciless or heartless means you must make rational, objective and unemotional decisions. The more you can do this, the higher you power up in the Qianmen ideology. Yun Xiang made himself vulnerable once he started to show concerns over his "bait"/Yanan in the raw silk case. It just means soon he can no longer use her as a pawn. Or she is a pawn that becomes the Queen. And if you play chess, you know in some master strategies, you gotta sacrifice the Queen to Checkmate. But maybe Qianmen's way is not the right or the only way. Let's see.

Mo Bu Fan is after all quite supportive to Yun Xiang.
I think Mo Bufan found Yun Xiang to be a pest. One he couldn't easily exterminate. But now it's interesting bc he's grown on him.

Chen Xiao's breakout role was Yang Guo in Romance of Condor Heroes. His wife was Xiaolong Nu across from him. And of course his ADOS co-star Liu Yifei was Xiaolong Nu in the version where Huang Xiaoming played Yang Guo. Its a small world.
