Yes wuxia is also my favorite genre. My rating also reflects that I found it better than DY but not as good as TBOY which I rated 8.0 and 9.0 respectively.
I prefer original voice when they can pull it off but in this case it was a terrible idea to have Chang Huasen professionally dubbed and Gong Jun not - it made the difference too stark when in reality they are both about the same level acting wise.

It's gruelling. My niece has been competing in wuxia since she was 6. She can tell you how this is so so much harder to get right than it looks and than we can imagine.

Yeah unfortunately c-drama is not good at doing fight scenes. All the best martial arts directors are the old famous HK directors and most of the actors these days don't have proper martial arts training to pull off those kinds of fight scenes.

She was her mother Wu Tzetian's favorite and has many more allies at court as she had been knee deep in the highest level of court politics before the emperor could even waddle. They were once on good terms, even allies against common foes. He tolerated her power grab for longer than he needed to because he had lingering affection for her and his own position in court was not well established -- there were other princes and even his own father the emperor emeritus was low-key scheming against him. He is the same young emperor in YZ's last drama Flourished Peony, which featured his rivalry with his older brother.
