Yeah the only thing that scares me is that Song dynasty was when women started to become more restricted in China. I mean they still had property rights etc but there were lot Confucian morals that led to status barriers ie between concubine and proper wife, etc which has come up a few times already. I guess at least it didn't get really bad until Ming and Qing but still...the trend is not their friend...

Dense is a good word to describe her lack of EQ. That said, I think she has some pretty good commercial instincts. Going into business was her idea and she also knew her music should not be too easily accessible to just any customers. She clearly wants to help but I think the other two mollycoddle her a bit. I am happy she went off on her own to the music academy. And if a hottie like Shen Ruzuo is actively pursuing her, I think she won't be so laser focused on Gu Qianfan. I just hope he is not another scummy dude.
