It went downhill from the time they killed Song Cai. It didn’t implode and there were still some really good parts but it just became less interesting. And I kind of expected some better showdown or confrontation between him and Long ge.

That would make sense too. I don’t watch previews so I didn’t see any of that. I will say it’s not his style though to be masked - he is open about his misdeeds. I would also point out he likes WR so it’s more likely he would have attacked her and not LC or both of them.

Don't worry about Xiaoshi. The first scene already spoils that Yingkan dies before Xiaoshi. Yups. It is a real waste of that chest.
