I just watched the intro of the drama and it feels a bit outdated. The type of lead actors they cast for costume dramas now are also different. Anyway, I will watch cause im curious to see Ryan Ren in a costume drama

I think he is perfect for SML in a big drama but i dont think his acting is strong enough to be ML in big drama for now. I mean we have really good actors that still plays SML , Alen Fang, Wang Duo, for exemples

I noticed that chineese directors tend to do less sad ending than before. Ive watch a lot of dramas from the 80 90's and most of the time it was sad. But i agree with you, happy or funny endings can be memorable too.

I was skeptical as why everyone didn't like the ending. Often people give a bad rating because the ending is sad. Goodbye my princess was sad ending but memorable. But after finishing Snowfall, i have to agree that the ending is not good. Not because its sad but because its rushed and incomplete. It can definitely have a second season.

I think he did well for a newcomer. He has good potential.

I didn't watch spirealm but this one the romance is subtle but you can definitely feel it.

The director seems to like grey characters. Every dramas ive watch from him( goodby my princess, Heroes, snowfall) there's one but the only well written is the ML in goodbye my princess.

I know but usually a doctor that practice surgery graduate when they are nearly 30 or more. Situ looks more like 20. But for a fantastic drama i guess its fine.
