The stepmother is so annoying. Meddling everywhere and is so insecure about her relationship with her husband. I’m glad she hasn’t gone full villain mode, but thought by now she’d have some humility.
So glad that the leads and the blacking out misunderstanding didn’t last for very long. It helps having two cupids helping them out to clear things up. Wondering if they will fall in love in the process since they have been hanging out a lot to help their friends out.
Love the aunt and uncle storyline so much. They are so cute and hope they can heal together.
Such a fun episode that didn’t drag at all. So many heartfelt moments and the humor is perfect. My favorite part was his mom finding out everything and having I rang sign the lease with animal blood while he was gagging. Love that his family is so supportive.
People bullying a kid because of their dad’s actions is the worst trope there is, and I hate it every time. Now it’s followed him to adulthood which is even worse and completely unnecessary unless the real culprits are behind him being blacklisted. I’m sure his dad will come back as a ghost since the actor is popular. I like him a lot, but unfair for him that the last two shows have been with him dying and having little screen time.
I continue to be a sobbing wreck whenever JinYoung cries. I was a mess during Our Unwritten Seoul, and seems like it will continue with this one. Such an underrated and fantastic actor.
The leads really made their teenage romance so beautiful and believable. Excited to see their reconciliation (hopefully) in the present. On to episode 4.
Just finished episode 4 (boo that I have to wait a week and a half for it to drop on Hulu), and this show is amazing! I love how there are no villains, green flag men everywhere, and the leads are healing together. I’m a sucker for shows in which both leads equally help the other out, instead of a give and take dynamic that a lot of k dramas have.
I hope this continues and they don’t throw in one of the leads having a terminal illness, or Chan’s missing memory be that his roommate is alive and he comes back towards the end of the show. Let the leads grow together without k trauma! They’ve already been through enough.
I’m so sad to drop this drama with two episodes left since I’m such a fan of Bae In Hyuk, but today’s episode and tomorrow’s sounds like a dumpster fire. What a waste on such a talented actor and adorable toddler, and potentially an interesting storyline.
Episode 12 was so freaking good. It felt like an episode 30 with how much plot development it contained. I could not stop laughing at the quasi-romantic music that was playing in the background while Dong Ik was waiting eagerly. for Jung Han. Usually those voiceovers are for romantic couples in the Joseon area. I can’t wait for their friendship to start up again- I’m sure deep down they miss each other.
Don’t even get me started on the couple scenes. So many butterflies! Loved how jealous the leads were, but their conversation in episode 11 about missing the other was so honest and heartfelt. The writers better not ruin these two. I also love the snide remarks that the work cupids are making at them. So refreshing there isn’t a stupid love square.

I think next week the show should pick up now that they are in the present and have met.
May I Help You? had a mortician.
Both excellent shows.

Time to rewatch Park’s Marriage Contract.
