If I could give it a 0 star rating I would!
The worst drama I have ever watched. Everything about it is just bad. The lead actress is really annoying and the villain felt like trying too hard. The lead actor is far from badass. If any Italian mafia saw this drama they would commit suicide. The comedy is so bad I felt like gauging my eyes out. The genre mixing just made it worse. One scene being a thriller and the next scene being a comedy doesn't make it a Dark Comedy. Dark comdey is a completely different genre. I don't know how in the world does this have a 9.0 ratings. That's just disrespect to other dramas. I specifically opened this account to give it a 1 star ratings. I can't even express in words how bad this drama was. This drama gave me such a bad experience that I have decided not to watch any dramas with these actors in the lead.Was this review helpful to you?

Great Build Up.. Disappointing Pay Off... Full of Huge Plotholes
Took two of the most powerful and badass characters in the show and combined them.. then turned her into a stupid useless damsel in distress for the whole season. I kept waiting for the moment she unleashes her powers and it never came.. when it finally came at the end, it was so frustrating and anticlimactic.. they just used it to set up season 2.The 2nd most powerful character spent the whole season being missing. They kept building up for his return. At the end when all hopes were lost he actually returned.. then just died without doing anything!
The third most powerful character spent the whole show drinking chaste tea.
Jang's return, Mu-Deok's real identity reveal, Bu-Yeon's power to control the ice stone, Naksu reveal... All of them were ruined and nobody seemed to care about these reveal.. these were supposed to be the big moments in the finale. The only meaningful fight was in the very first episode. The finale didn't have any fight. They used the last Naksu fight as an end credit set up for season 2.
The last 4 episodes didn't even have 15 min worth of story. I don't even think a 2nd season was necessary.
Whoever cast the child actors for the 3 brothers must be blind cuz they look so different from their adult counter parts that it's not even funny.
Then there's the plotholes.. every single plotline was illogical. I think the writers had go through some intensive mental training to come up with those illogical excuses to stop Naksu from using her power and Bu-Yeon from controlling the Ice Stone. I am going to list a few of them plotholes here ..
1. Everyone blaming Jang Kang for using the ice stone when it was lady Jin who forced him to use it for her own gain.
2. Everyone can use the power of the ice stone for everything except Naksu and Bu-Yeon (who is supposed to be the only one who can control it's power)
3. Bu-Yeon, the most powerful priest who can control Naksu's power and stop her from running wild couldn't stop her from running wild after some weak spell from Ji Mu
4. Ice stone can stop every soul sifter from running wild or being petrified expect for Naksu
5. The whole ice stone barrier episode makes no sense
6. Lady Jin not confronting her husband and Ji Mu full well knowing her daughter is fake.
7. Even after learning that Mu-Deok could be her daughter she did nothing to save her.
9. How could everyone (including Songrim) just agree to kill Mu-Deok to see the power of the ice stone just like that?
10. How is Ji Mu still alive? It makes no sense. When everyone was confronting the queen, he was just standing there and nobody said anything to him.
11. Kept talking about how the ice stone can unlock Naksu's power and keep her from being petrified permanently but after she used it she was back to being Mu-Deok
12. Naksu never caring about who is the blind girl that keep showing up in her vision.. or everyone else not caring about what happened to the original Mu-Deok's soul.
13. Lady Jin letting Ji Mu enter Jijiyoung even after knowing her daughter is fake (atleast she claims that she already knew)
and I can just go on and on..
The whole cast was great, even the actors who played the smallest roles did great. Vfx, action and cinematography were top notch. Comedy was very good. The main idea behind the story was somewhat decent.. but if you pay even a little attention everything falls apart.
Overall the show felt like "2 hrs of foreplay and 4 sec of actual sex or even no sex at all"
PS: Don't ask how I know what it feels like to have "2 hrs of foreplay and 4 sec of actual sex"

If you ignore the last 3 episodes then it's a solid 9.0 but otherwise 8.0
I won't write a proper review. I'll just say the things I liked and the things I didn't.First of all Ep 16 and 17 were the best! The whole cast was great but the little girl who played Eun-Gi stole the show! I cried for like 3 hr continuously! I wish we would have gotten more of her and her parents at the end. Eun-Gi and Beyol-I (the mute girl) were my favourite characters!
The emotions and struggles of the characters were captured very well. The relationships and dynamic between the characters were really good and pretty realistic. Felt like an actual village. All of their stories were relatable. Some you could even see happening to you in future. I am glad that the makers didn't just cast pretty people (like most other kdramas) and called it a day.
Jeju was beautiful as always. Cinematography was very good.
All over a great drama except for the last 3 episodes! Dong Seok and his mom's story could have been done in one episode. The interesting parts of Dong Seok's story were already shown in Ep 9. His mom's story was really boring and I had no interest in her character. Actually I really hated her character! They just kept going on trips without any story progression for 3 episodes.
The actual ending felt really rushed! They gave Dong-Seok's mom whole 3 episodes and kept only the last couple of minutes for the ending. The ending needed a whole seperate episode. I would have liked to see more of the old characters, the reunions and everyone interacting with eachother. I wanted to see more of Byol-I. They under utilised her. also Eun-Gi and her parents. They didn't even show her parents in the finale. Instead we got 3hrs of Dong-Seok's mom.
I guess I'll just keep pretending that the show ended on Ep 17. Great drama ruined by the ending!

If I could watch only one show/movie for the rest of my life, I would choose this!
It's one of those drama I wish I could erase from my memory so that I can watch it again for the first time! It's an almost perfect show for me, I wouldn't change a single thing.The thing I love about this drama the most that there's not much dialogues. The way they conveyed their emotions through their eyes was just awesome. You take one look at their eyes and you start crying. The slow burn also helped. The more they build up to the scene the higher the pain. It also gives you time to process all the emotions and doesn't rush things.
Except the CEO guy, each and every character was so good that you just can't help but fall in love with them.
It was my first time watching IU. She was so good that now every time I see her on social media or on the news my heart just aches. I just want to give her character a tight warm hug and cry with her.
The big brother, the cheating wife and the bar owner.. I just love each and every one of them.
There are two types of sad dramas, one where you just cry and other one where you feel so much pain in your heart that you feel like you're having a heart attack! This drama falls in the 2nd category.
The only part that wasn't perfect was the ending conversation between. It didn't feel like two people who care about each other a lot meeting after a long time, it felt like a divorced couple who forgave eachother and moved on are meeting after a long time. Still I wouldn't change a thing.

It was a pretty good show
I have only one complaint. They should have let the kids find out that Woo Young was their father. They should know that he was there for them in their hardest moments. That alone would have made it 9.0 star drama instead of the 8.0 star that I gave it. That's why I didn't like the last episode. Compared to the rest of the drama it was so mediocre and cliche.I really liked the Younger Couple. They looked so good together and I wanted to see more of their romance. We only got two or three happy romance scenes from them. I really hated the adult Dae Young and I think that was the intention.
I liked everything eelse. It wasn't a groundbreaking show but it was pretty good.

It's good but not as good as the 2009 Korean Movie
First of all the original Korean movie is just better in every way except one. The drama did the school life part better. They showed how K and Cream fell in love. That was missing from the movie. But the movie was more emotional. Although I liked the Music Producer's relationship with the assistant in the drama but most of the new storylines they introduced didn't benifit the original story at all. It slowed down the main story way too much. I also didn't like the changes they made to the original story. They basically copied "Uncontrollably Fond"s ending and put it in here. The actors did a pretty decent job but they're nowhere near the level of the actors in the original movie. The show started out great but they convoluted the ending. It would have been much better if they stick to the original story.Was this review helpful to you?
So Bad! Even though the plot seems really interesting you'll regret watching it
This drama is so bad. Don't waste your time on this instead go help your mom/dad with the house work. The female lead is really annoying and a bad actress. The writer (of the drama, not the character "Writer") is even worse. Overly complicated plot and most of it make no sense. Really repeatative and the story makes little to no progress in most of the episodes. Even when it make some progress then in the next couple of episodes they backtrack all the progress and take it back to square one. The characters have no growth. They become more cliche every episode. The ending is one of the worst I have ever seen. The only intersting thing about this drama was the 2nd lead couple. But they gave them an ending so cliche and so bad that you would want to gauge your eyes out and erase your memory. I watched it three times and I cried like a little bitch, every single time!
Before you start watching just make sure you have enough tissue! That's the review.Apparently a review can't be less than 500 characters, so let me tell you this- This movie is better than the other two Taiwanese remakes. The girls are cute in the Taiwanese drama. They showed the school life of K and Cream and how they actually fell in love with each other so that was cool. But they made some changes to the main storyline which I didn't like. So you can watch it if you want. But it's nowhere near as good as the original Korean movie.

This is the most cringe drama I've watched after Business Proposal
I don't think the writer have ever met an artist in real life or even know a single thing about art and painting.The ML needs only 1 sec to judge a painting? Lol! Even Picasso wouldn't dare!
I loved Park Min Young in "When the weather is fine". She was pretty good in "What's wrong with Secretary Kim" but here the overacting was pretty bad. Not as bad as the FL in Vincenzo and Business Proposal though. Didn't care about the ML or the story. I liked the brother of the FL.
The only thing this drama accurately depicted was how stupid and embarrassing "fangirling" really is! I guess Korean people/writers are expert in that department.
