Episode 27-28 where Chu Yue eloped with Xue Yao and they slept in the same bed. At that time, Xue Yao wanted to…
Agree. I don't dislike XY as a character cause I understand where he is coming from but I just want to see him suffer a little and make effort to chase his wifey back hahaha
Just curious. Does anyone know why SF has a red mark on his forehead when he turned into a bird demon while the others from Lize Palace don't have this mark?
I thought the premise of pondering the plot is to thoroughly understand the background and personality characteristics…
Thanks for sharing your views and I generally agree with them. The character development makes sense given their backgrounds, personalities and the circumstances that happened. This drama is not the usual rom com with a superficial story line where the main couple just sort of falls in love with each other and ends up mostly disregarding obligations towards country, family, friends etc. And this is exactly what makes this drama so appealing cause it's very realistic.
Having said this, XY's personality is very chauvinistic (which makes sense cause in ancient times, most men were like that and he is a general which amplifies this trait) and tends to take CY for granted. He has used her as bait 2 times already (1 time she almost got raped by the Marquis and 1 time she almost died falling from the cliff). When he figured out about his brother's dead (i.e. dialogue between XY and LJ in the prison) he didn't clarify this with CY, prolonging her suffering and guilt. CY has been the accommodating party most of the time. And it's gratifying to see him overwhelmed by jealousy, realising that CY means a lot to him and that he can actually loose her.
Yes! I've decided to hold watching the remaining episodes (I'm at ep 35). I need a break until more episodes are…
Yes, it's like non stop seeing SF being physically/mentally tortured. Even during periods of sweetness there is also under tones of angst like when XJ and SF were all lovey dovey and all, we know that SF is struggling with keeping his demon identify from XJ. I can sense that he feels guilt for having to lie to XJ.

Yes, and I'm not going to watch now. Too much anxiety Hahaha. I'll wait for maybe another week of episodes to come out before I start. Then I can binge 2 weeks of episodes at one go. This drama is great but emotionally draining LOL
To be honest guys, I'm starting to find the drama hard to watch (and I'm only on Episode 10). My heart seriously…
Yes! I've decided to hold watching the remaining episodes (I'm at ep 35). I need a break until more episodes are uploaded and when most of the angst is over. It's like being on a perpetual emotional roller-coaster ride. And it's very agonising if it ends at an angst point and we have to wait for a week to see the following episodes.
Oh wow! I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way about the ML in LaR. I tried really hard to get into it…
I also didn't find the ML of L&R appealing at first glance but he grows on you over time, as his character is very likeable and he is very devoted to the FL.
