To think that he machinated everything from even before Ling Long was born. That guy is exceptionally intelligent, patient and meticulous. So far all his plans materialised, e.g Jiner going to the fire village and producing Ling Long, Ling Long leaving the fire village and going to the capital and the events that led to him getting the stone from Yin Jia.

Perhaps the only thing that he didn't expect is for Yin Zhuang to fall for the "ordinary" guy Huo Tu Xin.

I'm intrigued by Wei Sheng Yan. He comes across as this cold blooded business man with only eyes for power and money. Turns out, he really cares for/loves Yin Zhuang and goes all out to save her. This guy is complex and dodgy but it's interesting to watch what he is up to.

I have a question. Does anyone know if the ML has been married before? When his friend was looking for a concubine (cause his main wife has trouble conceiving), the friend mentioned that the ML was older than him and asked why he didn't look for a replacement of his deceased wife. He said it in ancient form, so I'm not sure if I understand it correctly. Was the ML married before but his wife died or he never married before?

Watched up to ep 6. It has a common plot where the main female lead is special (with undiscovered special powers) , grew up sheltered, for whatever reasons has to leave her home and venture into the unknown world. However, the storyline is refreshing. It's infused with fantasy elements, eg. humans with wings, people who can control minds and alien like creatures. I like that the father is equally ignorant as his daughter and is going through the journey /discovery together with her, which is quite unusual in Cdramas. The pace is just nice. No weird edits so far and no boring moments. The visuals are realistic too.
