Thank you for reading, i actually haven't looked into that tag. In fact, i am not sure if there are enough k-dramas…
I think it's interesting too, how tags are moderated on here. I tried to add a Romance tag to "Just Friends" a short BL but it got rejected because it was already listed as BL or Gay Relationship or something. And I don't agree that those concepts always mean the same thing. So if we're not allowed to add Romance tags to BL, then there definitely won't be enough tagged dramas to analyze.
I also love watching HKDrama but I agree the quality is not as they use to be. To me, it really feel more comfortable…
I was just going to ask this question - are HK dramas in Cantonese or does China dub them into Mandarin? And what would be the best mature romantic drama to start watching? I get tired of the too-chaste k-dramas every once in a while...
I'll just be honest here. I hated this drama. The more I watched, the more I hated it. Then I started to despise it with some serious fire. And here's why: 1) I hated the rich, spoiled, entitled, and bitchy main character(s) - (one, mostly) - who were often bratty dicks to people they supposedly loved, but got all the props because they didn't have jobs or any responsibilities of any sort and could just show up everywhere at a moment's notice (unlike other characters who actually had to work and couldn't just ghost whenever they wanted to.) 2) The FL was stupid at times, and I wasn't expecting that. Like she would do really dumb stuff (like stupidly get into a stalker's car) and I found myself starting to dislike her. But it was her choice at the very freaking end that really made her dead to me. Like done. 3) THAT was one of the worst endings of any dramas I've seen in years. All that build-up, all that relationship work, all that fooling us that this wouldn't end up being a stupid drama with a shitty, cliched ending, but one that could actually make sense. But no. The writernims ruined it with the ultimate reward going to a wholly undeserving character in the end.
bruh he's poor and has a lot of problems to solve so i completely understand him if he's not there all the time…
Yeah, and rich, entitled and spoiled Tae Oh has no responsibilities, isn't in school and has no job. Of course he can lecture his poorer friends about life because he has no frickin' idea what having to work three jobs is like. He's a bit too much like his dad for my comfort. UGH.
Were you replying to me? I was the first one to comment about balancing life and dramas. It's pretty hard to balance…
This is helpful info. I use Microsoft Edge for dramas and Chrome for work so I'll look for an ad blocker for Edge. Do you know if the other sites often mentioned here are safe as well? Like dramacool or others? I'm in the U.S. and I'm nervous about opening up sites like that especially because I use this computer for work (from home) as well as watching tv. I stream Viki and Netflix and Amazon and those are all fine, obviously, but there are others that carry J-doramas and other K-dramas that I can't get anywhere else but I haven't gone that route yet. (Also I have subscribed off and on to OnDemandKorea but they don't always sub in English so it's hit or miss.)
Really? I thought they were like 1 year apart based on the airing schedules, but since I watched in 2019, I just…
I'm excited for the third season! It took me a while to get into the second season for the exact reasons you stated - it felt like it was disconnected to the first season and I didn't want to have to go through all of the waiting and angst until they found each other again. But it's such a great drama and the leads are so perfect.
um actually they were on and off for like forever... but i guess it's before the timeline of the drama so
Yes they were on and off for years, but they were permanently off once he decided how he felt about the FL and he let her know that. You can also see how he felt about his ex when she moved to be close to him.
