That’s what makes it so hard to believe. They weren’t nearly close enough for his death to realistically have such a profound impact on him. Sure, they knew each other because Don was a client, but there was no real bond or meaningful relationship there to justify why Don’s death would suddenly be the catalyst for him to finally talk to Than and get his life in order. It just doesn’t add up. And it's still pissing me off!

I’ve only made it through 3 of the University series so far, and they’ve all been pretty frustrating 😅. They each start out with a strong, promising premise, but the momentum drops off quickly, long before the midpoint. For me, Avenues of Diamond has been the most narrative-focused, especially with its use of internal monologues.

I definitely did a double take. I looked it up, and it turns out it’s called “honekami” a rare Japanese funeral tradition.

Really liked this one :)

It had far too many plot holes and clichés, but still decent enough for me to finish watching. The main character was weak, but undeniably cute.

I enjoyed the first few episodes, but I felt the need to comment on the amount of swearing in this drama. As a Filipino myself, I don’t think we really speak this way, especially using the F-word so frequently, and particularly when talking to our parents. It doesn’t feel like an accurate representation and comes across as an attempt to westernize the drama.

Episode 6 was frustrating. Kalix keeps saying “let me explain,” over and over, yet never actually explains anything. I hate when dramas do this, deliberately dragging out miscommunication just to heighten the angst and force emotional breakdowns. 😕

Is there a BL subplot? I've seen a video clip captioned "BL subplot" and one of the comments mentioned Love 02. So just wondering if it's this one.

I think Akin exhibits masochistic tendencies, it's as if he finds comfort and emotional validation in seeing himself as the victim. I mean, what else could it be? 🤷

Most Filipino series tend to be overly drawn out with slow pacing, repetitive and unnecessary drama, which is why they usually have such a large number of episodes.
